Helped us through the permit process, quick and professional hardscaping, followed by a really terrific garden designer and great plantings that really work for our century home and are low-maintenance! Peter Solti and crew have also responded to our calls for help promptly on several occasions and most recently dropped off a free replacement capstone for one on a wall which had fallen and broken. We would highly recommend them.”

“I have been through many renovation projects in my career that were both larger and smaller in scale but none with a Contractor that was as professional and patient as Richard Thorne-Botham. Communication skills are key in renovation projects, especially ones at your own home and Richard has this covered! From our 1st meeting, to the countless meetings thereafter, to working over 3 seasons since we started in the fall then finished in the spring and to still be contacting Richard over a year after our job was completed and having Richard responsive as ever, the experience has been wonderful. I could go on but just call Richard and you will see for yourself. I highly recommend Distinctive Landscapes!”

“We had our entire backyard taken from nothing to a dream oasis. Richard and his positive, respectful crew, worked with us until every detail we envisioned was a reality. They began by setting the grades for the entire project including the work to be done by our pool contractor. After that, they created natural retaining for our very sloped yard, constructed a concrete sports pad, laid flag stone, built a natural stone BBQ, fireplace, water fall, and pool house. Their attention to every detail is exactly what my wife and I were looking for. The crew finished by creating beautiful beds and plantings to suit our vision. Some of the things outside of their landscape skill set that we truly appreciated was their daily clean up, their respectful nature to our children and their constant willingness to listen to our thoughts. We would highly recommend Richard and the LandArt crew.”

“As an Interior Decorator I have worked with and been exposed to many trades and contractors, our experience with Earthscape was a dream. All staff is zealous about their work and you really sense that they want to be there for you to achieve the desired result. Earthscape constructed a drystack retaining wall in our backyard and a waterfall into our pool. Our initial consultation with Mark generated many great ideas and we easily came together to finalize the design decisions. The crew was on site everyday and amazingly the wall was finished on time and on budget despite terrible rain and mud. I was impressed with the excellent care they fostered on their tools and equipment, certainly indicative of the level of thoroughness executed by this company. At all times they were genuinely respectful not only to me and my family but to my elderly neighbours who were quite concerned about the whole project. We love the end result and have absolutely no hesitation recommending Earthscape.”

“We first hired Carina Cassidy Design a few years ago, when we needed some help with landscaping our previous home. She patiently and collaboratively worked with us, and our landscaping contractor, with the utmost professionalism. She brought her own fresh ideas to the project.... and agreeably collaborated on our own. Her creative is fantastic, as is the knowledge of her craft. She would make smart recommendations, and always backed it up with 'why'. She adhered to agreed-upon deadlines and budget. Overall, I'd say using her enhanced the whole experience, and we were thrilled with the end result. So much so, that we are now working with her and her team, on our new home (a much bigger job)... and can't wait to see it to completion!”
