“We were in need of a new front entrance door. The precious “double” door (builder grade) was not creating a secure air energy efficient seal and was problematic. We contacted Back 40 Designs to review our home repair issue. We were unsure if the double door could be repaired or if we should invest and improve our front entrance door. The double door, was a traffic entrance issue as well. With onsite evaluation of existing doors, frame, hardware etc we took the decision to remedy the issue and select a new energy efficient statement door. Following careful measuring, we ordered and in a few days it was delivered and ready to install!!! It is an oversized single door with 3/4 beveled lead glass, side lights too featured gorgeous beveled lead glass- stunning! It floods our foyer with beautiful natural light as we face south- curb appeal “envy” of Neighbourhood. Careful and considerate installation with all the necessary hardware, insulation and even a new door bell - such respect, TLC and attention to details made it an immense pleasure to work with Back 40 Designs. I plan to have Back 40 Designs return this month to install hardwood flooring in our kitchen and great room- can’t wait to see the continued transformation and improvement to our home !!”

“Diane initially came out for a consultation on helping us decide the paint colours for our new home. It was open concept and I had no idea where to start. Within a couple of hours, she had us agreeing on paint for each and every room of the house! She helped us to identify where to start and stop painting in each room - so helpful with an open concept! She had some ideas about drapes, and also about the hallseat cushions that we needed for our stairway. So far she has helped provide us with the drapes in my daughter's room, and also the cushions in the window seat in the hallway. She even helped us by getting her seamstress to repair drapes that we had previously purchased! And did I mention she was prompt? She had our paint colours emailed to us within 24 hours. Our drapes took a week once we decided on the fabric, and the cushions were less than a week! When she says that she has some samples for you, she doesn't mean she'll get them to you eventually - she will get them to you quickly!”
