“Over the course of the Spring of 2013, Revi Mula of Monaco Interiors helped us to design and renovate our basement. Revi was very easy to work with, very professional, and was a good listener. I had strong ideas of my own, and Revi was willing to incorporate them into the overall design of our space. At each phase of construction, Revi would create her drawings and then consult with us about them. We had a large, unfinished and open space, to start with. Revi hired only the best, most highly-skilled tradesmen to do everything for us, from the ductwork to the framing, drywalling and painting, electrical work, flooring, and everything in between. Revi cares about her firm's reputation and she will only work with people who are honest, hardworking and trustworthy and who do the job properly, and in a timely manner. The work space was kept clean, which mattered to us. We ended up with a very pleasing design for a practical work/play area that feels spacious and bright, yet uses every inch of space in a functional way. We now have an extra 3-piece bath, a closet below stairs, a walk-in pantry, a work/studio area, a beautiful seating/sleeping area with gas fireplace, book shelves and big-screen tv, and a games area as well as a new furnace room. Revi respected our budget and found us beautiful materials and furnishings that suited our style. Her tradespeople are very conscientious and and clearly have a good working relationship with Revi. She oversaw the work and made home visits at regular intervals for consultations and to check on the work. She maintains the highest standards for workmanship and final product, and any small problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Revi returned my phone calls and emails promptly, so our communication was excellent. I know that if you want good results, you have to work with people who take real pride in their work, and that's exactly what you get with Monaco Interiors. I would not hesitate to give Monaco Interiors the highest recommendation and have already referred them to some friends. We had a wonderful experience with Monaco Interiors and I would be delighted to work with them in future, should we need any more work done.”

“Mary did the most fabulous job on our bungalow. She really helped us make the most of our budget and turned a small but comfy bungalow into a gorgeous, sophisticated, home. “Recently I purchased my first apartment with my boyfriend. Because I had never decorated my own place before I was very confused with colour choices and on what wall each colour should be on. Lori was beyond the most helpful, patient and knowledgeable interior decorate I have ever come across. She explained to me how the sun can come in at certain angles making the colour choices I picked looking very different than the colour samples. Because of her she made our apartment feel like a home rather than a stepping stone till our next place. I couldn’t have done it without her help!”

This timing was paramount to them understanding our big vision. Three things stand out from our work with Parkyn Design. First, one of the biggest strengths Tania demonstrated was her ability to really listen and understand what we wanted. She really did hear everything we said: our ideas, our dreams, our likes, our dislikes. We saw proof of this in the end results when our home seemed to fit us like a glove. Second, Tania’s experience ensured that our home would be timeless, yet incredibly unique and personal to us. Because Parkyn Design is current with trends and ahead of the curve on what’s coming, we were introduced to new products and materials which made the choices for everything both practical and leading edge. Finally, as first time homebuilders, the process of building, designing and decorating a home can be very intimidating. Parkyn Design made this process fun and enjoyable. “We hired Aloe to help design and renovate the den in our condo. What a pleasure to work with Chloe, the designer for our project! She was well-prepared for the consultation during our initial phone call, and took the effort to fully understood what we wanted. She addressed all of our needs and questions, and proposed a plan that is within our budget. Throughout the renovation, she kept a constant line of communication with us to make sure we were aware of what was going on. The project was completed on time and we were very happy that she transformed our den from an empty and unused space into a beautiful guest bedroom with storage in which we very much enjoy spending time. We had some friends stay over in the renovated room, and they really liked it! We are so glad that we chose Aloe as our designer. We would definitely recommend their professionalism and expertise to our friends.”

“Sarah did an amazing job helping us with our basement renovation. We have a small space with some constraints from the original construction of the house, and Sarah nonetheless managed to create a bright and open space that doesn't feel like a basement at all. She also gave us different options at various price points for furniture, and when we wanted some modifications, she quickly turned those around and met ours needs perfectly. If we ever have another home renovation project, we'd absolutely go back to Sarah for our design needs.”

“I hired BKDP back in October 2011 to redesign the ground level and 2 second level bathrooms of my home. After interviewing different design companies, both my wife and I felt most comfortable with Fardid and Ken as they were very clear and detailed in explaining the whole design process and how they charge for design and renovation to us. The design process took about 6 weeks and the design was revised a couple of times as we added more items to our wish list. They presented different design and material options to us and guided us to select the design that we like. The renovation took about 3 months to complete and we were very pleased with the end result. During the renovation, their coordinator kept us updated with their progress and schedule without the need of me calling them. And whenever I call or e-mail them with questions concerning the project, they would respond to me right away. We are considering to renovate our basement later on and we would definitely rehire BKDP for their service without hesitation.”
