KITMILES
Local Artists Near Brighton
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMay 11, 2026
“We recently specified wall covering from the Kit Miles collection for a residential project and were genuinely impressed by both the design quality and the overall experience. The collection strikes a balance between unique visual identity and long‑term practicality. The patterns feel architectural and yet decorative, with a depth and texture that adds interest without overwhelming a space. Colours are considered, modern, and easy to work with across a range of interior styles, from pared‑back contemporary schemes to more layered, design‑led homes. From a practical perspective, the wallcoverings are clearly very well produced and straightforward to install, which is always appreciated on site. Communication throughout was clear and professional, with helpful guidance on specifications and ordering. Overall, the Kit Miles wall covering collection is both thoughtfully designed as well as well executed. A real solution to challenges, would happily specify again.”
AS STAWICKI

“Adam hand-made stunning English walnut dining table and matching console for our traditional - modern barn conversion. These are truly sophisticated pieces of art crafted from reclaimed timber. AS STAWICKI gives reclaimed materials a new elegant dimension. His work is timeless, cutting edge and modern. Most importantly Adam loves nature and does not use healthy trees to make his furniture. He collaborates with Earthy Timber and uses their patented technology to meticulously dry the wood to its very core in the vacuum chamber. Their advanced processing technology turns the wood's 'faults' into distinguished features. You would never achieve the same effect with viable trees. Dining and console tables are not our first investment for life with Earthy Timber, a few years back we also purchased a large conference table from a slab of oak. After 8 years of heavy usage, spilled coffees, office parties, late curries and 2 relocations it still looks like brand new (the finish to ask for is called 'waterproof') We highly recommend AS Stawicki and Earthy Timber. They are expensive but the the visual pleasure, innovative design and quality of craftsmanship of their furniture is worth it.”

“I first worked with Ben on an initial project for a small attic room in which I needed to create feature and Space. Ben came up with ideas which relied on his knowledge of materials and design. I was so happy with the creativity and design in which this small room was able to incorporate cupboard, hanging space and a day bed with under storage that I commissioned him to create an instillation that could be storage in the form of wardrobe space but, I also wanted to draw on his skills as an artist. The result is an ongoing project. It is ongoing because the more that Ben creates the more I can see that the room itself is being transformed into a unique space of art, light and design. Ben who trained as a cabinet maker and artist was brave to take on the project, it has been exciting to see his use of real metals on wood as at first I wanted a very urban look. Once in situation and looking totally unique, I felt they needed to be pulled together by a mirror which would be practical. However being practical wasn't enough, the mirror needed to reflect more than my face so the whole room and light from the Windows could be reflected. The result was just stunning. (Check out the photos on Bens site) It was the next step of the project. The next step is a fire hearth and top cupboards. It is exciting working with Ben as he is happy to encorporate some of my ideas as a frustrated designer whilst, his knowledge of metals and design, along with his expert knowledge of fine furnature making come together to create something beautiful to a room and home. I would never buy a piece of woden furniture again unless it measured up in its usability and esthetic beauty. Thank you Ben looking forward to seeing the next stage.”
