“I've admired Jamie Story's work for some time and when my husband and I decided we needed to have some wall decor that was a little more mature than framed posters, we found this glorious masterpiece by Jamie Story...It was fate that we got it, and I still find lovely new details to wonder about every time I look at this painting. I love that it's painted on a panel of Ampersand Encausticbord which gives it an interesting texture and enhances the iridescent "micro-pigment" ink and acrylic paint. Story's technique with these paints and inks combined on the wood panel creates these cool, tentacle-like clusters of color. The finished piece is truly amazing and gazing at it has become somewhat of a spiritual practice (however corny that may sound, it's true). It has so many dimensions, so much power in each rich layer of color, it provides me with a meditative-type of refuge. I am surprised (yet honored) that mine is the first review for Jamie Story's Fine Art Paintings and I highly recommend her work for anyone who feels compelled to display really beautiful art in their home (or office) that will invite the onlooker to connect with a beautifully hypnotic piece of art.
