My name is Ramón Cervantes, born in the north of Mexico but living in the USA for half of my life. You can say that I am Spaniard by blood, Mexican by birth and American by choice. I come from a long line of wood workers who started back in the old world. My mother fascinated my childhood mind with all the stories she told me about watching grandpa proudly work his magic into the wood and making all kinds of unique pieces. Later on in life, I heard the story of a humble Hebrew carpenter, and that became the ultimate inspiration for my life. Very soon after that, I decided to follow in his footsteps, and that is how, I embarked in the rewarding career of becoming a wood worker and a spiritual guide to those around me. Little did I know, that one was an art practiced by many, that one can dedicate an entire life and never finish learning, but the other has proven much more difficult. Nearly three decades later, I am still fascinated by the art of wood working, continue to enjoy what I do. I am undoubtedly one of the very few who finds happiness and purpose in what I do, and goes to work thankful for the privilege of doing what I love. Above all, I haven't given up on my dreams, and continue trying to learn as much as possible, so I can then do my part in sharing a little light to the world around me. I am an English teacher and writer and have self published two inspirational novels.
