Koering Custom Furniture, LLC. has been a custom furniture maker and artist since 1997, originally under the name Freestyle Design Woodworks, Inc. We specialize in high end, one-of-a-kind projects for private residences and commercial spaces. All pieces are handmade by our artisans at our workshop in Mesa, Arizona. Upon completion, we pack and crate any freestanding piece for shipment anywhere in the United States or personally hand deliver locally. Jon Koering began creating specialty furniture pieces as a personal interest and turned his love for artistry and woodworking into a career. He took the knowledge he acquired from his father, who was a high school shop teacher and other woodworking masters, and soared with creativity. His many years of experience and innate talent are the core of every piece created by Koering Custom Furniture, LLC. For years now, we've had clients request interesting, unique and exotic pieces. We stand by our motto which is, "We can probably make that." Let us help you make your dream project a reality!

At 3Box Studios, owner and artist Jim Holbert creates one of a kind objects that are both useful and have meaning. Our lives today are bombarded by digital imagery, computer driven designs, 3D printing and the list goes on. 3Box offers an alternative; handmade objects that are real and tactile and long lasting. By combining metal and clay the work seems to capture the color, motion and changes we see happening all the time in the natural world. Jim calls it the 'Design of Nature'. "I feel a deep connection to the natural world. Much of my work draws inspiration from the desert landscape of Arizona where I have lived for the past fourteen years of my life. I compose, bend, weld, melt, and transform raw materials into visual objects that are useful and have meaning." Using natural materials emphasizes the environment in which Jim's idea originated. Clay and metal are primitive; they tell the stories of our past. They have a permanence that challenges our modern, technology-driven life. The pieces are very engaging and vibrant. Working with clients who connect emotionally with the work is ideal. "Maybe one of my pieces conjures an old memory or life experience". Outdoor metal accent sculptures are meant to be integrated into amazing landscape design. Indoor metal sculptures can be that accent piece you see in the background of a beautiful photo in Phoenix Home and Garden magazine. Interior Designers can easily incorporate my work into their designs due to the malleable nature of each piece. Past clients who have purchased and installed work from 3Box are generally moved by having those pieces in their lives. There’s a little bit of Jim in those raw materials, shapes, lines and objects. Anyone who comes in contact with what 3Box has to offer work gets to experience what Jim has to offer the world.

PULLING AT THE HEARTSTRINGS: THE ECO-ART AND ACTIVISM OF HEATHER FREITAS Heather Freitas, a stunning mixed media artist who employs recycled materials, has a cause. Freitas says she really found her calling in February when she was preparing for the WHAM West Gallery Recycled Art Festival in Surprise. It was then that she realized that her deepest passion was EcoArt, and she would become an eco-art activist. She would use recycled materials, our waste, to produce art to make statements about our problems of waste, and the human impact on our deteriorating environment. “Deforestation, GMO’s, a plastic wasteland and PCB’s along with DDT still reside around us and will continue to impact us in the long run building to a point where at one time there may be no turning back,” she says in her Bio. Freitas’ work is as impressive as it is beautiful. She is to be commended for using recycled materials, an exciting way of creating art that is growing in popularity. But that she uses those recycled materials to drive home to us the need to recycle, because those very materials are crippling our environment, is doubly impressive. Freitas says it’s important to realize how influential art can be in making a difference in the world. Art should not only “document the times” but bring awareness to the need to formulate real solutions to critical contemporary issues. “It is said that one person can not change the world, but it is with my deepest hopes that my artwork can.” Freitas can be reached at email@example.com
“If by highlighting the beauty of Creation my art leads the eye and the heart back to the Creator, my camera lens has given attribution to the true Source.” "At the most basic level what I do as an artist is 'see': being present, noticing, and documenting life as it has always been, yet in such a way that leads others to take notice, to find meaning. More than just beauty, I hope to provide an avenue of knowing to the viewer." Heather J. Kirk is a fine art photographer and digital artist, providing professional, archival-quality prints available on a variety of mediums: photo paper, canvas or art print (watercolor paper), metal or acrylic mount. And now pillows! Heather’s art has been a featured artist in Phoenix Home and Garden Magazine. Her art has shown extensively, including nationally at: de Young Museum in San Francisco; The Hubbard Museum of the American West in Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico; dana gallery in Missoula, Montana; Eleanor Bliss Center for the Arts in Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and The Art Institute and Gallery in Salisbury, Maryland. In Arizona including: Off Madison Avenue, Van Gogh’s Ear, Shemer Art Center, Gammage Auditorium, Herberger Theater, @ Central Gallery, and Tempe Community Galleries. Heather Kirk’s art is in several private and corporate collections, including: American Sport Art Museum and Archives in Daphne, Alabama; St. Joseph’s Barrows Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona; Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer in Natick, Massachusetts; and Eller Graduate School of Management, The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Kirk curated several art exhibitions for Herberger Theater in 2014, including "Balnace" and “Personal Panethnicity: when the color of my face is only part of the story.” She was also commissioned to create a piece of art for the KAX Stage to honor Katerhrine “Kax” Herberger, and recognize her family’s contributions to the theater. PhotoGraphic Artistry donates a portion of sales to the following non-profits: Return to Freedom, Wild Horse Sanctuary in Lompoc, California; microloans to entrepreneurs worldwide and educational programs for women and girls; and programs fighting human and sex trafficking.
