I am a fine artist from Covington, Louisiana. If a picture is worth a thousand words, I have been writing novels. I've traveled around the country, each place has gained a special spot in my soul. These precious moments have made their way to my easel. From scenery while traveling ,the trees and the mountains, a coffee shop, to the characters of my city, in the parades and the music that fills the air, there is no limit. I paint the stories they tell me, be it in a subjective or abstract manner.

My work is both sophisticated and uniquely infused with a signature joie de vivre. Inspired by the exploration of vibrant color stories, stylish patterns, and iconic silhouettes, I create contemporary visuals on acrylic full of playful personality. My pieces have a lively graphic allure that will distinctively complement your décor. In 2012, I started combining my original designs with iconic shapes. Using my passion for interior design and drawing from my professional experience as a graphic designer and textile artist, I used silhouettes of children, animals, fruits, as well as abstract shapes to create unique, large-format visuals on acrylic. This work soon caught the eye of interior designers, who began to commission pieces for their clients. My custom silhouettes allow me to create one-of-a-kind pieces for my clients, turning their children, pets, their own, or other silhouettes into customized art pieces. In the case of my people’s silhouettes, children, and adults. My work is a celebration of what I call the warrior mask, the face. My patterns and color schemes represent infinite possibilities and pure potential. The joy of being alive. My work has been showcased in the popular Art & Design blog 'The English Room' and was featured in House & Garden magazine. Houzz awarded me with “Best of Houzz” from 2015 through 2019. Originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, I reside in the USA since 1990, becoming a citizen in 1999. I am a member of the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, and served on its board of directors from 2010 until 2017. I am also a member of the Art Society of Old Greenwich. My work is available at: SCHWARTZ DESIGN SHOWROOM, a luxury interior design shop for the trade, in Stamford, Connecticut & Metuchen, New Jersey. DARIEN SPORT SHOP, an upscale retail store in Darien Connecticut. 3 PEARS GALLERY, Dorset, Vermont.

We create beautiful night skies... Indoors. Night Sky Murals started out as a desire to create (only for myself) a night sky, like the one I'd grown up sleeping under in the redwoods of Central California on summer camping trips. After years of trial and error, the night skies I painted actually started looking good. Friends saw the night sky and wanted one too. Then their friends saw theirs and wanted one. After drowning in paperwork of the mortgage industry that I found myself in... and wanting desperately to get out, I decided that if as many people as it seemed loved the night sky as I did.... then maybe there was a market for what I was starting to perfect. So, I started Night Sky Murals. Night Sky Murals is NOT plastic stars. It is not cartoonish looking, with large planets and galaxies. What I do is recreate, as closely as possible, the look and feel of a real night sky like you would see high up in the mountains on a moonless night, or possibly far out at sea on a cruise ship. I use a special mixture of glow paint to paint the stars that are virtually invisible (in the light) on ceilings that are painted with light colors, and are somewhat visible (in the light) on darker colors. But, in the dark... the mural comes to life and, when the room is really dark, you aren't looking at a ceiling with glow paint on it... you are looking at a real night sky (at least that's what I've been told). I am also told constantly that the 3D effect is amazing and that the stars actually twinkle. When asked how I get them to do that... I just say it's a trade secret. when in actuality it is probably more of a combination of the glow paint doing what it does and the person's eyes (rods and cones in the eyes) doing what they do. So... to summarize, we take plane, ordinary ceilings and use them as a canvas for our night skies. On a light colored ceiling you usually can't even detect the murals when the lights are on. In the dark, you will swear that your ceiling has been removed and you are looking out into space from some dark location on the planet.

Aren King is a gifted artist and the owner of Les Artistes, a boutique firm specializing in fine decorative painting for residential and commercial spaces in Philadelphia, the Main Line and the surrounding suburbs. She received her artistic training at Moore College of Art & Design, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Fashion Illustration. Aren combines artistic science, color theory, texture and mixed media to create what others can only envision, often combining opposites - which together, she finds - can reach their highest level of vibrancy. Much like in life, there is a ying and a yang, she says. One is not complete without the other. Her creative process takes into account a wide perspective of color, design and texture, allowing her to delve more deeply into the layers of her creations to deliver something unique and special to each client. Early in her career as an artist, Aren’s talent was recognized by the owner of one of the hottest nightclubs in Philadelphia. He commissioned her to create 30,000 square feet of murals throughout the club. This opportunity opened the door to numerous commissioned projects including upscale retail spaces, houses of worship and exclusive homes. Her clients’ tastes and demands led Aren to expand her creative services into interior design work focusing on faux finishes and textures. One client’s wish for a mural of their favorite exotic vacation spot brought DIY Network to the scene, where Aren was a featured artist crafting her client’s vision. Throughout her career, Aren has continued to evolve by experimenting with a variety of media, materials and finishes. She has earned the respect of some of the region’s top designers for the artistry and creativity she delivers on even the most complex of projects. Aren’s services are customized to create an atmosphere that fits each client’s unique personality. In a complex world, she not only delivers a work of art combining beauty and clarity, but a client’s vision that she crafts into a reality in their living or working space. As Aren says, “Their surroundings are my canvas!”
