Whether an inspiration, an entirely abstract vision, personal or cultural experiences, my expansive canvases embody and depict an expression of my thoughts. I haven't set out to produce art about one subject or another. My paintings evolve from the environment I find myself in. When I paint, I feel compelled to create images that transcend simple objective representations. I try to identify the core essence of each particular scene thus enabling mental imagery. My style is largely assisted with unconventional tools and other objects from hardware stores. I build and mold my images to recreate my vision on canvas. Unlike realistic art, Abstract Art has no language - it's what you want to make it to be. The process of painting is the same, the understanding - just different. Often I look at my work in progress and take away whatever experiences I feel at that time. Chances are on return that I would interpret the same work into a different language - more related to my feelings at that exact moment. My hope is that my viewers have a similar dynamic experience as they view my art. Over the years I've taken delight in dabbling in various genres of art. What you see here is an insight into my world over the last decade. I live in the Pacific Northwest but can ship my paintings to any part of the United States at an additional shipping cost.
