Teller Elementary recently commissioned Genevieve Smith to create a mural honoring former librarian Cathey Bonnefoi. Featuring characters created by Dr. Seuss, Genevieve painted an amazing showpiece for our library, stunning in its detail and true to the artistry of Theodor Seuss Geisel, yet absolutely original in its composition. Genevieve completed the entire project within four days and it was a true joy to watch her work evolve. She is the utmost professional, clearly dedicated to her craft and committed to providing her clients with only the finest level of service. Genevieve brought her assistant in on the last day to help finish the piece and I was impressed by her ability to give direction and listen to feedback from her colleague. I can only give Genevieve my highest recommendation. I hope prospective clients will be as thrilled as I am by her work.

Genevieve, the owner of Magpie Painting, painted the cabinets in my kids' Jack & Jill bathroom. My son and daughter share the bathroom so it was a little tricky to figure out how to each give them what they wanted (pink and green flowers for my daughter/broncos colors for my son) without it looking ridiculous. It turned out fabulous. Genevieve has a great attention to detail and clearly loves what she does. Genevieve also is a genius when it comes to matching color. I had numerous chips on my textured walls and she was able to match the color perfectly. My husband couldn't even tell where the chips had been! She also repaired a section of the plaster on our fireplace mantel and matched the paint. I will definitely hire her for future painting projects.

Jennie and I worked side by side for ten years in San Francisco (where I continue to live/work), and I know that you will enjoy working with her as much as I did every day! Jennie was a wonderful business partner and is the ultimate professional in our field - she is talented, friendly, customer-oriented, and hard working. Jennie loves to paint and is extremely creative with her talents, so even if you don't know exactly what you're looking for, Jennie will take time to brainstorm with you and come up with novel ideas. We hired Genevieve of Magpie Painting to paint my 13 year old son's bedroom wall after a recommendation from a client of mine. Genevieve had painted a panoramic hockey rink on my client's son's walls and after seeing it we hired her immediately. Using a picture only of the Boston Bruin's logo, Genevieve drew the entire idea on the wall free hand and picked the exact colors to match the logo. It looks great! It took her only 3 days to complete the entire project and the fee for her artistic ability and knowledge was worth every penny. Most importantly, our son loves it! Hire her, she is worth it. We were so fortunate to have had Magpie Painting referred to us. In finishing our lower level, our curved bar--the centerpiece--had turned out to be a disaster. We had tried to have it stained to match the cabinets but the result was terrible. We contemplated sanding the whole bar again--or worse--tearing it out and starting over. Magpie Painting came out and turned this eyesore into a masterpiece (and the cost compared to the other options was great!) We are ecstatic! Jen did a BEAUTIFUL job and we couldn't be happier! We also appreciated that our calls were always answered or promptly returned, and that she was punctual and professional. What more could you ask for? We would definitely use Magpie Painting again and will absolutely recommend her to others.

I wanted a very graphic overlapping square outline design. Genevieve was a fabulous person for the job. She was very enthusiastic about working with me and making sure to understand my vision. While doing the project she was fun and professional, as well as a very good judge of the time she needed in order to be finished. She also was only ready to call it done when she knew I was completely satisfied. I was very impressed overall.

Genevieve is extremely talented at what she does; her work (artistic painting skills) is unique and extremely beautiful. Everything she did for us (Prayer Room, Bathroom and Stair Case Area) has been priceless and we constantly obtain positive feedback from my guests. The metallic copper paint applied to our powder room and dining room was transformational! A stunning result that provided the rooms with the needed details. We will use her again.

Genevieve Smith did an amazing job on my daughters' rooms. I had some general ideas but was unsure how to best incorporate these ideas given the bedding and accessories we own. My daughters are ages 7 and 5 and we wanted something stylish yet fun and something they would not outgrow in a year or two. She was able to create two gorgeous mural-like walls with hand painted accents. We love the fact that the designs are versatile enough to last them well into their teenage years. The rooms look fantastic and we have been showing them off to our family and friends. She also painted my infant son's room a solid color. Appreciated the time Genevieve took to make sure the rooms were perfect. She made sure the girls' ideas were incorporated-which meant a lot to me as a mom. Their rooms are truly works of art and she is currently working on samples for our living room. Additionally, she is easy to work with, friendly, and reasonable in her pricing. We would highly recommend Genevieve Smith and Magpie painting.

Genevieve painted our logo onto the wall of the waiting room in our office suite. She was wonderful to work with and extremely professional. The logo turned out beautifully and we get compliments on it all the time. I would work with her again in a heartbeat.

Both rooms came out better than expected. I love, love the attention to detail, colors and placement of all work with the murals on four walls total. I am very happy with the work and give the both rooms 5 stars; I guess I give the artist 10 stars total. I can not wait to have more work done on my main floor. I have worked with many contractors and this job is absolutely superb. I love it!
