I have 10 of his prints, and have been collecting since the early 1980s. Met him a few times. Love his historic appreciation coupled with details and art that keeps living and telling stories each time you look at. You will enjoy them, and especially if you've grown up anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic area. Who doesn't reminisce about an Atlantic boardwalk you walked often as a child with a few coins in your pocket clenched with sticky fingers from cotton candy or frozen custard. Or Mt. Vernon that Washington would rather have burnt to the ground than yield to the British. Each building, each ship, each front porch tells a story, an era, a belief in something we all share.

I have traveled the world as a paid critic of the arts working in the newspaper and TV news business and I would like to say as modern painters go, Paul McGehee has the skills of the old masters and subject matter that appeals to all. He work can be in a museum, your home or an office for clients to enjoy. Most commercial art is not really art, his is. Most fine art does not appeal to all, his does. He also has a history knowledge of his subjects. Artistically his composition and line is superb.

I have known Paul for over 40 years. Not only is he a great friend but a very talented artist. I own quite a few of his works of art and always look forward to see what he's working on next. One thing you will always get from Paul and his art gallery staff is true professionalism and fantastic customer service.
