Terrell Lozada & Co

My husband commissioned Terrell to do a Terracotta Maiolica platter for my birthday in 2015. It is so exquisite that we have since commissioned 3 new pieces from her.(2016). We highly recommend this talented and lovely artist!

Terrell Lozada far exceeded my design request. I asked for a multipurpose furniture piece built to store, protect and display, in keeping with a 1930 wooden built-in bookcase that's original to my Seattle condo built by Anhalt. Terrell's exceptional design included storage for an entertainment center (large flat screen with sound system), oversize shallow drawers for storing works on paper, a roll-out shelf for a laptop, as well as a concealed space for contemporary metal file drawers. She chose Douglas fir, like the bookcase, and devised an astonishing process to replicate the rich historic bookcase finish. Leaded antique glass panes enclosing two small sets of shelves, as well as moldings and door knobs created to reflect the historic home, all testify to her wonderful eye. She has a talent to succeed at any challenge!

Terrell has worked with me on 2 extensive projects. She designed a new bathroom for me incorporating small tiles I wanted to use. She found the "just right" complimentary tiles for the shower surround. The result was perfect and I have loved it. She also helped me choose paint color for my living room that would most compliment my extensive art collection. She then helped in the placing of the painting for their best presentation. In addition, she helped in the redesigning of my existing wood burning fireplace to a gas unit. I couldn't have been more pleased. Terrell was on task to the smallest detail. She listened to me and was completely respectful of my thoughts and ideas, working with me for the best outcome; this includes budget, colors, design and my preferences. She was a pleasure to work with!

I have known Terrell for over 10 years. I have bought her art, followed her design work, and have referred her to clients. She has an amazing talent for color. She has even mixed paint to match my Roman Brick to cover the sloppy paint job! She can custom mix a beautiful grey for wall color that makes the light in Seattle shine. Her art work is complex and intriguing. I have coveted her art for years and am so pleased to finally have begun my own collection. I have watched Terrell turn homes into the most beautiful spaces. She transforms homes into works of art.
