Whether helping me select paint colors, meeting me at the tile store overwhelming in options, or showing where to economize and to splurge, Barb was with me step by step so that ultimately everything worked together in the end. Now, I have a kitchen that, even three years later, is still a joy to walk into, to cook in, eat in and relax in. She went beyond the norm to take time with me and help me understand what was happinging and to reflect my realities and preferences in the process. “Detail by Design prepared our kitchen design to renovate and fully update the "cottage" kitchen that existed in the home we bought. I love cooking and entertaining, as well as just relaxing and enjoying my kitchen space. These facts were incorporated in an elegant, functional, and very pleasing kitchen design such that this room has become the new favorite visiting area. Suggestions as to specific design/layout, cabinet features, sink & faucet styles, lighting, and appliances were provided; options discussed; and items sourced. Similarly, the necessary contractors were hired and organized such that installation was smoothly completed. Our experience with Detail by Design was very good and I would readily recommend the company.”

Because I did not need a ‘full service’ renovation company, he also volunteered to help me find a plumber, electrician and handyman to complete some renovations. I am delighted with the results. “Anne-Marie was so easy to work with. She did multiple projects for us. The first being helping with the exterior and interior design of our medical office building in 2008-2009. Our most recent project was a complete gut of our 1890's farmhouse, turning it into the masterpiece it is today. She designed all our kitchen cabinets, and other built-ins around the house, including a craft nook for our little girls. Each project she did for us were different styles, yet she was comfortable working with all of them, and able to accommodate all of our needs, wants, and "must haves". Her taste in colors is wonderful, I continue to get compliments on my wall colors in my living room and kitchen. In essence, she was great fun to work with, and willing and able to work with our vision, and not once pressured us to change our mind about what we wanted to suit her ideas.”

“We have used Carleton Kitchen and Bath twice in the last 10 years. The first time for a kitchen and powder room renovation and more recently for a livingroom/diningroom renovation. We were very pleased with the quality of the work, design ideas and cabinetry design. The work was done on schedule with as little disruption to the family as possible and the workers were not only skilled but anxious to do an excellent job that we would be pleased with.
