“I had a wonderful experience working with Liza Holder from Homegrown Decor. We built a house from the ground up, and we couldn't have done it without Liza's help! Her eye for detail yet ability to focus on the big picture - all while remaining calm and super practical - made the whole process fun and sanity-saving. From helping us pick out tile to appliances to paint colors and all our furnishings, she was able to convey our personal tastes so well. The best part? It truly looks like "our" home. She also worked within our budget, helped us repurpose old furniture and rugs, accessorize and even make our home kid- (we have four of them!) and dog-friendly. I highly recommend Liza. It was a pleasure! Friends walk in and the first thing they say is, "I love your house!"”

“Planning for my later years with increasing physical diminishment, I used the building and design team of FAIRFAX DESIGN SOLUTIONS (Martha Fecteau and Sam Scott)) to undertake an extensive ‘Aging in Place’ remodel of my cherished home of 43 years. The remodel includes an additional powder room on main floor, creating a large master bedroom by removing a wall between 2 bedrooms, creating a large, extraordinary master bath with a 5x6 curb-less shower that includes a folding teak bench, moving W/D from basement up next to bedroom, and creating a beautiful office with built in cabinets in the old dining room. All suggested ADA/ fall prevention improvements were incorporated. Both Martha and Sam were terrific to work with. They drew on years of experience and collaboration, pulling together tremendous skill and craftsmanship in the design and execution of the project. They creatively grappled with modifications provoked by the nature of my 1955 house. They both have steady, calming personas.They were incredibly patient and accommodating to health challenges of my own during construction. Martha brought all products to me to choose from, saving me a lot of time and energy. Sam was on the project everyday — either managing the skilled laborers he brought in to do the plumbing, electricity, dry wall, tiling, etc. or crafting himself some beautiful, original wainscoting to dress up the new hallway. Martha and Sam’s reassuring skill, creativity, thoughtfulness and integrity made the remodel a blessing in every way. Marilu, McLean, VA”

She's extraordinary in understanding her client's needs and preferences while bringing ideas and solutions that are within budget and efficiently implemented. She has developed kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room designs for us that brought a cohesive look to our entire home. Her use of color is exceptional and the coordination of rugs, textiles and artwork was brought together with a keen eye and understanding of our preferences. Wendy's thoughtful and cooperative relationship with builder, electrical, painting, furniture and textile specialists enables her to synchronize an interior design project efficiently to get the job done with minimal distruption to occupants. Together with the seasoning, skills and expertise noted above, Wendy is unique among design consultants in that she actively listens to the client to develop a plan/budget to suit - as opposed to many other designers who seem to want to focus on their own preferred aproach regardless of the client's needs. “I had a pending job opportunity in DC area and came across basement property that would be ready by the time I would need it (3 months later). I viewed property in construction phase and could not see it as a place I'd want to live, let alone be ready in three months. I was so wrong and so blown away! The tiny basement apartment looked roomy and had a zen flow post construction. Amazing design!”

She was very professional and listened to our ideas to create that unique feel for our home. im very pleased with her work - materials she used (paint) was not toxic, and her design was very intuitive. “Monica is very talented and easy to work with. She is a great listener and has excellent taste. She led us through a significant housing renovation that doubled the size of our house as well as 2 office space renovations. Monica has a wonderful design sense and creates intelligent and thoughtful layouts, too. Monica can do all of the preselection in the materials process and set up options for you to choose from to make your life easy. She creates a beautiful board for you to envision what each room looks like. It works beautifully! Monica is also an excellent PM for the project. Without Monica, I would never have completed my home renovation on time. And my office would have taken 2x as long. I'd highly recommend using her for any renovations.”

“I hired Pierre Jean-Baptiste Interiors to create a new look for our den. We needed new furnishings, accessories, lighting, and a fresh coat of paint. We are a family of four and we needed a timeless space to relax after busy work and school days. To my surprise the project turned out better than expected. They provided the electrician to come and replace my old hanging chandelier. The painters were on time and clean. After proposing a sofa that I was not 100% sold on, I went against my feelings to let them piece the room together and I could not have been happier with the selections. Thanks again!”
