Barker Cabinets

I was extremely nervous about ordering cabinets online, but after receiving my cabinets all reservations vanished. Every piece arrived well protected, and in perfect condition. These are clearly very high quality cabinets, and the attention to detail is exactly what I would expect from a high end cabinet maker...except a fraction of the cost I paid for custom cabinets locally. I'm seriously ordering another set for another room in my house right now, and will order even more in the future. Some may balk at waiting 8 weeks or more for custom cabinets, but I can assure you the wait is the same at your locally custom cabinet maker.

Ordered my kitchen cabinets, they were spot on with the time for the cabinets. Super construction, easy to assemble and well packaged. If i need more i know the only company I will deal with, Barker!

I ordered 13 Cabinets, 5 Toe Kick Platforms, 7 finished end panels and 3 Bar backers for an Island. I suggest you do as we did and take them time to validate all of your measurements. and review the order multiple times before submitting they state clearly on the Website once they have started cutting the pieces no changes are allowed. The order process went smoothly the Cabinets shipped when they said they would, and they were delivered within the advertised time frame. They were extremely well packaged No shipping damage at all. They were also clearly labeled. Don't make the same mistake I did on starting out and ignore the labels read them and lay your cabinets out before you start assembly. We had on issue one of our cabinets was cut incorrectly. I called and left a Voice mail within minutes I received a call back. The cabinet number and what I had ordered were confirmed I was asked to take a picture of the label and the pieces and email them. I did so and while I am not 100% certain of the time frame because I started working on other cabinets, I think it was within 30 minutes I got an email with apologies they were recutting and shipping replacement parts. some would be shipped as soon as possible one part required some finishing so would take longer. (That was not an issue because it could be installed after the cabinets had been built and installed. The new parts for the cabinet box were delivered within 7 days. I give them a 5 star on this because of customer service what is more important to me is not that a mistake was made but the response to the mistake which was the best I have seen in years. The remainder of the assembly went well for the cabinet boxes and the Toe Kick Platforms. A suggestion on the Toe Kick Platforms. If you fully assemble them with standard depth cabinets, it is nearly impossible to be able to screw them into studs without some specialized tools. There are 3 stretchers across the length of the platform that make it difficult to get tools in to accomplish this. If the toe kick as enough space at both ends that is not an issue you level it screw it into the studs and then install the stretchers. In My application 4 of the 5 toe kicks were against the wall or another toe kick making this impossible. My solution was to take some 3/4 plywood and cut Pieces the same size as the center supports for the toe kick and screw the to the end that was against something. I could then leave the stretchers out in the middle so as to have room to get tools in and attach the toe Kick to the wall and the install the middle stretcher and attach on the blind end to the piece I had cut. I am very impressed with the quality accuracy and customer service provided by Barker. I would definitely suggest using them on Cabinet projects. They are not the cheapest, but the experience, quality, and support make them well worth the difference in price.

Barker cabinets are good quality cabinets but their customer service is horrible. I had ordered from them 2 previous times to redo 2 closets. When I decided to do a major renovation on our kitchen, I decided to order again from Barker thinking I would save money without too much hassle. In hindsight, I would strongly encourage others to go to a full service kitchen supplier. Do not believe their website about rushing an order once your project has started. I notified Barker of 3 damaged pieces. It’s been 13 weeks and I received 1 of the drawers. I have no date for the other 2 damaged pieces. There has been zero apologies. Very bad customer service, especially for a customer who has now ordered from them for 3 different projects and spent a lot of money.

I ordered a few cabinets for a new kitchen island. The ordering process was pretty straightforward, and everything came nicely packaged. Assembly was amazingly simple and they look great!

We ordered a whole house worth of cabinets from Barker. After pricing cabinets from local big box stores, and 2 local custom cabinet builders, Barker came in at slightly higher than the box stores but significantly lower cost than the custom makers, for very high quality cabinets. The ordering process is a bit cumbersome as the only way to identify a cabinet on the order page is through the dimensions and if you find any errors, you have to delete that cabinet and start again. This makes it very difficult to doublecheck for errors. Not too hard with a few cabinets, but very hard when the list is long. The cabinets were very good quality, easy to assemble and look wonderful. They missed shipping one drawer, but shipped it out quickly when I informed them it was missing. From before ordering to after shipment, responses to questions were answered in a very timely manner, usually within hours. Overall, the whole process was great, and I would highly recommend them

The ability to customize any dimension of the cabinets was very important to us. We made our uppers taller and deeper than standard which gives a small kitchen a little more storage.

I have used Barker twice. Great quality, good prices, good options! Helpful people Once for a townhome in Aspen, now a remodel for a 5500 sq ft home in Golden Colorado.

This is the second time i have purchased cabinets from Barker Cabinets. What i like the most besides the quality finish and appearance is the quality of the plywood and hardwood materials supplied and ease of putting the cabinets together.

I ordered several pieces to make up a primary bathroom vanity. Everything went together very smooth. I bought my cabinets primed and they did a fantastic job...so glad I had them do that. I would definitely use Barker Cabinets again. Very happy

Overall was not impressed with the sample doors I payed for. There was a lot of Orange Peel on the door edges and a very noticeable gap between the inset panel and door frame. Bottom line for a company that bills itself for as a High End Cabinet company the finished product was not that great. To achieve the proper look and finish these would require refinishing to fill in the gap and make it look right. I have pics but not able to attach for this review.

Excellent company to obtain ready to assemble cabinets. I purchased the sanded, ready to paint cabinets since I was undecided on the color. I was able to order exact sizes I needed and with the pullouts I wanted. Cabinets were delivered well wrapped and protected.
