“I would highly reccomend Cathy Cherry. I had the pleasure of working with her on a house that she designed for Baldwin Homes for the Maryland Green Show Home. The area that I designed and furnished was the Kitchen, Eat-in Area and Great Room. I love how she designed the areas to be an open floor plan. I find that homeowners in this area of Maryland like open floor plans because it is a more interactive but, casual way of life. When I heard that Cathy was designing the home and wanted it to be a "tidal" home I knew that her style would fit hand in glove with my "Chesapeake Cozy" style. The architectural detail on the home was top notch. In my area, I particularly loved the strong columns. I repeated the detail in my custom built-ins flanking the fireplace. “Pete and his team did a complete refinishing of our basement. It was done in two stages: the first included designing the empty space to make it most functional for us. We needed apartment type living as our daughter and two granddaughters are living with us. We wanted as much light as possible which he accomplished with the installation of extra windows and great lighting. In addition to a living area, we needed a desk area, a bedroom and bath and plenty of usable storage. He covered existing support posts and added closets. The second stage was begun after three years when we decided a kitchen was also needed so Pete again used his design expertise by converting the desk area into a wonderful kitchen which includes plenty of cabinet and counter top space, a refrigerator, sink, dishwasher and stove along with the addition of a beautiful, functional breakfast bar. Pete and his carpenters, plumbers and others were always respectful, on time and kept us abreast of what was happening on a daily basis. There were no unexpected delays. We could not have asked for a better outcome.”
