“Stearns designed and built a house, shop, and an open pole barn for my wife and I. All interactions and communications were professional and accurate. The design process was excellent with a view toward the best functionality and value. There were many opportunities to discuss pros and cons of various layouts and materials of construction. The process included selections for everything in the house and there were no (none) surprises at the end where basic things like light fixtures turned out to be "not included". The build process included weekly status communications and clear communication around changes--no doing something and then an unexpected cost adder. All change costs were dealt with up front in a professional way. It became clear to my wife and I that Stearns intended to deliver everything under the contract in a complete and quality fashion. There were some issues at the end concerning consistent operation of the automatic gate to the property. It took several months but this was dealt with to our complete satisfaction. At the close of our home contract, we asked Stearns to build a small floating dock on our pond, which they did for a very reasonable price. We are more than satisfied with the work by Stearns and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.”

“We had to have major window repair and replacement done due to wood rot of our original Pella windows. This was a huge and complicated job and Stephen and crew handled it superbly! Stephen recommended a new brand of window and we are very happy with it. There's no indication that it is any different from the rest of our windows but it will last much longer and perform better. The installation was hard but they did a wonderful job of working around our lives and making sure we were never left with open holes or unlivable conditions. I would highly recommend Green Igloo for a remodeling project and hope to use them again in the future.”

“We chose to work with Hamilton Custom Homes for the construction of our new home in College Station, Texas earlier this year after interviewing a number of builders in the area. Since the bidding stage of our project we noted their high level of commitment to their customers, their innate eye for designing houses in good taste and quality and their willingness to work with the sub-contractors of our choice. Both owners of the firm, Matt and Katie, are very hands-on, which gives us great confidence that all tasks involved in the construction process are being completed well and in a timely basis. In addition, whenever us homeowners need to make selections of finishes or materials, etc... we usually get a 1-2 weeks heads up from them so we can do our homework, ask questions and make the right choices. However, for those of us that are indecisive as to what we want, Katie and Matt will always be there to give you their expert advise. They will also be honest with you if they think you are making a mistake in any of your selections. We've found that they are both very approachable and communicating with them and their sub-contractors is a seamless task. They work with great sub-contractors in the area and nation-wide and turn-around times to obtain blue-prints of cabinetry work, paint samples, hardwood floor samples, etc... are usually very short. As mentioned earlier, they both have an eye for design, and that is something we truly appreciate because we know they'll give our house the "wow factor" that we want. In addition, we've found that it is of great benefit to have a woman and mom, Katie, be part of the team since she brings a unique perspective and design ideas that serve the purpose of designing a more family-friendly house. We're looking forward to the next steps in the construction process and completion of our house!!!
