“Stearns designed and built a house, shop, and an open pole barn for my wife and I. All interactions and communications were professional and accurate. The design process was excellent with a view toward the best functionality and value. There were many opportunities to discuss pros and cons of various layouts and materials of construction. The process included selections for everything in the house and there were no (none) surprises at the end where basic things like light fixtures turned out to be "not included". The build process included weekly status communications and clear communication around changes--no doing something and then an unexpected cost adder. All change costs were dealt with up front in a professional way. It became clear to my wife and I that Stearns intended to deliver everything under the contract in a complete and quality fashion. There were some issues at the end concerning consistent operation of the automatic gate to the property. It took several months but this was dealt with to our complete satisfaction. At the close of our home contract, we asked Stearns to build a small floating dock on our pond, which they did for a very reasonable price. We are more than satisfied with the work by Stearns and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.”

“Missy is a color genius--I recently purchased a highly contemporary town house in North Montrose which, as expected, was very stark, edgy and white. Although the majority of my rooms remain this way (by design), I did need to add some interest in certain rooms using color whilst co-ordinating with the remainder of my contemporary furniture. Missy assisted me with color advice and selection in four separate areas: my bedroom, dining room, powder room, and office. In all cases, she spent a significant amount of time with me to understand my personality, and then assisted me with color selection, including gently guiding me (effectively by "giving me permission") to go with my personality and select a more "out there" color than I originally was thinking about. For my personality, she realized that I would feel most comfortable with a funky chocolate brown (one wall in dining area), funky orange (powder room), citriline (office), and a very muted gray/brown (master bedroom and bathroom). I am extremely pleased that she gently guided me in this direction, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. Thank you Missy!”

She brought samples of the Faux Iron, and after the area was measured the order was placed. My Faux Iron was delivered and installed in the exact time she said it would be and my piece was beautiful. While in my home, Robyn gave me decorating ideas for my kitchen, which I have put into place. I Highly recommend Simply Elegant Interiors and would definitely use her again.”

“Lofts and Condo’s require space planning and efficiency of space for functional living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and home offices. Beth did an exceptional job of using custom cabinetry to meet those requirements in the Wells St. Project. She included a murphy bed in the home office which allowed the space to convert to a spare bedroom, and space saving storage options in the contemporary kitchen. Her many years of expertise working with us at Graber cabinets has produced noteworthy projects including spacious kitchens, freestanding pieces used in media centers, bedrooms, and living rooms with her clients traditional or contemporary taste in mind. Graber has incorporated photos of her work on our web site and look book for new clients.”

“Highly recommend! We have used Stephanie with SBDS for two Restaurant projects in Houston and it has been great to work with her. She is responsive, punctual and very reliable. We also like that she is local to Houston and understands our specific needs and designs clever solutions. She is a great problem solver and handles difficulties with solutions. The first project was taking our current restaurant that needed a facelift (it was starting to look dated) and make a plan for how to go about updating the restaurant over the next 15 months so we do not close and are able to budget appropriately. The restaurant looks so much better! I can't wait to continue the plans, all of us look forward to the upcoming months as we have been impressed with the vision when installed. Our second project was renovating an existing restaurant to reopen as our concept. Everyone that has come by loves the design and she kept us on budget. It also saved us SO MUCH TIME! You never realize how much time you spend obsessing over details until you have someone to help you and their ideas are almost always better. She also did my friend's bar on Washington and did an excellent job.”
