Last year I had the chance to work with AMS Design team on remodeling my home which was a major construction project since I was going to add about 1100 square feet to the existing house and also remove the old ceiling and raise it up to 10 feet ceiling. First of all , in order to submit your new plan project to the city , you will need a package including the new design plan , structural plan , Architectural plan and …which is hard to find a team like AMS design to do the whole package together. Although I had many challenges for my additions ( connecting the existing foundation to the new foundation) and my new roof (replacing 8 ft calling to 10 ft) , the reasonable way Azadeh and Armin addressed my issues made me and the city of sanjose completely satisfied .Since My project was Owner built and I was building my own house with my sub contractors so it’s clear that I had many challenges and questions during the project. Therefore I had to make appointments with AMS Design many times to ask my questions. They were alway very patient and responsible and they were trying to do their best to guide me with their advices. As the matter of fact , Construction projects are full of challenges but I love how everything turned out with the AMS design support . Long story, short ; If I do this all over again, I would choose AMS Design team to work with them.

I recently worked with AMS design team on addition-remodeling project I had for my house. My experience during the whole process was exceptional and the results exceed me and my wife's expectations. The AMS design team are professional, responsive and communicative through the long design and permit process. During the design they listened carefully to our needs and desire. They provided several designs based on our objectives and helped us to converge to the final design. During the design submission and applying for permit, they helped to address the city 's comments in time. Even in some cases they get appointee during the pandemic to have a face to face meeting with city officers to speed up the design approval. One of the things i appreciated the most about working with AMS design team is their ability and flexibility to work with me and my wife to revise the design several times based on new ideas we proposed. During the constriction process, AMS design team worked costly with my contractor to ensure everything is moving according to plan. They were always available to meet with the contraction team and answer questions that came up during the construction. Overall, my wife and I are very happy with the experience of working with such a great team. Their dedication, expertise and professionalism is outstanding. I highly recommend them and definitely will consider working with AMS design for my next project, if any.

We bought an old house in Menlo Park with the intent of remodelling to our tastes before moving in. We were working on a tight budget and timelines (i guess that’s always the case!). We consulted with a few friends who have been through the remodelling process themselves and took notes on how to choose the right architect and contractor. Based on meeting with a few other folks and the tips we had received from our friends we zeroed in on AMS Design. We are so happy that we made this decision. The entire process - right from architectural design to structural engineering to the actual construction was off our plate and we had one POC for it all. The team was quick to turn around deliverables, generally reliable and extremely flexible. We changed our mind a couple of times after the design was already submitted to the city and they accommodated it free of cost but more importantly free of fuss! They would talk amongst themselves, make all the changes and submit the revised plans without us even knowing. All our wish list on the actual construction side was thoughtfully heard, reviewed and made possible for 90% of the things. The construction was almost on time, there were some unseen events which partially led to the small delays we had. Working with this team was an absolute pleasure, they are thorough professionals who are always trying to make things easy. We have once in a while made calls after 6PM and they have graciously addressed our questions/concerns. I feel like we have become more like friends now and would strongly recommend this team.

We recently completed the design and permitting for a new 2-story 5500-sqft home in Saratoga, and we are half way through construction. Azadeh was our architect for this project. We picked Azadeh after interviewing 4 different architects for this project. Our choice was based on price point, and chemistry in design approach. Our vision was to design a modern Tudor with some uncommon elements like an interior courtyard and a living roof. Some of these elements were new to her, but she showed tremendous initiative to tackle this design and willingness to learn through experience. We are really excited about the final design and can't wait for construction to be complete. Being candid my wife and I are a bit of perfectionists, and we fine tuned a ton of details in the design at every level. Azadeh always listened to our ideas and concerns and combined with her creativity to generate plan that fully met our desires. She did not try to push a specific architectural taste onto us, rather tailored it to our ideas and feedback. Azadeh also has solid knowledge of city rules and regulations and would often identify esoteric points that would become a problem during permitting. The total process of permitting for both planning and building departments, including the advertisement and wait period for a public hearing of the planning commission took just about 1 year in total.

We had the pleasure of working with AMS design during our house remodeling/addition process. We remodeled the entire house with additions, changing the house layout completely. We were extremely pleased by the design of my house, as well as the support during the building process. The price was extremely fair as well. AMS design was extremely helpful and patient in the design process. Overall, highly recommend AMS design.

She would take our requirements and come up with design options. We went through multiple discussions.
