David Price Projects

Our project was a new build, from the ground up. Our contractor was LeRoy Boren from Boren Construction, who recommended David Price. David is also a well known artist from the Seattle area, aside from his design projects. David's task with us was complicated, as there are four of us (two couples) who own the home, we live a long distance away from the project, and we had never done anything like this before. Undaunted, David guided us through the preliminary design steps, using what ideas we had and molding them into a fantastic, modern design that is open and spacious without being overly large (2,200 square feet), while still allowing for private relaxation areas. In his calm, easy going way, he took all of our suggestions (even the dumb ones), advised us on what would and wouldn't work, what features were desirable and what proportions to incorporate. We love the house, the builder (LeRoy) loves the house and David says it's one of his favorite projects he has ever designed. A black and white photo of David sitting on our deck steps when the house is nearly complete is featured both on his website and here on Houzz, and we hope to include one of his paintings over our fireplace. We would recommend him to anyone.

I found David Price by googling architects and looking for the houses I really liked in this area- it turned out he had worked on two of my favorites. I talked to him about my initial ideas, and he presented drawings I really liked, and then I started to tweak the plans. Working with David through the many iterations was always a positive experience. David designed the house and then I had it built from his plans. As soon as the house was framed, I started to get compliments on the lines of the building. Now that it is finished, it is beautiful, inside and out. Being able to work out custom plans and make all the needed adjustments means I ended up with a home perfectly suited to me.
