We hired chase to design a house for our lake property. The process was very smooth and painless, at least for us. We had many changes to the design along the way and his phone was always answered promptly or he got right back to us if you left a message. The design came out great, we had Builders comment on how much more detail than normal was put into this drawing. I would give Chase as my recommendation to anybody that is wanting to design their dream home.

My experience with Chase as my co-designer in bringing my ideas for a front porch entrance area into practical & actionable drawings was very good. All of his prior work, done in the Seattle area, that I was able to see really stood out to me as unique in style but had a very solid & purposeful finish as though that project could not have been done better. Our project would be considered small; simply adding a front porch at the time we definitely needed a full re-roofing of our existing home. I worked with Chase over the phone & skype to exchange ideas with him of details I would ideally like to encompass in this new porch/entryway. I sent him measurements of our existing home and property lines and he carefully measured & documented major structural components of our existing home when he was in the area so that he could accurately draw the correct placement & structural changes needed to complete our new porch. He also helped us to see details we wanted like different door styles, rock work, unique window styles, finishing details etc. allowing us to commit to these call outs with confidence. He worked very well with the excellent contractor we chose & was there for the project from drawings, permits, and advice through the completion of the project. We could not be happier with the outcome of our finished project! It looks & feels just right & expresses exactly the feel we wanted. Working with Chase is a pleasant experience as he is professional and passionate about helping create exactly what is wanted in a building project. He is a natural builder and designer of structures for sure. He has a unique background with hands on experience in building homes and professional buildings for his fathers company for 16 years. He has personally carried out the physical work and been part of roofing, framing, foundation work, dry walling etc. which clearly shows when assessing what is possible & what needs to be done to make-it-possible type situations. He also has a grasp of what things will cost with very good accuracy because he also ended up managing many whole projects for his father before getting his education in Structural Drafting Design to start his own business in designing homes & creating the drawings for these designs. With great confidence I would recommend Chase as the professional of choice to help anyone needing professional drawings required to have a home built or remodeled. These structural drawings and site plans are required by contractors to make bids on the project and also to be submitted & approved by county officials to acquire the permits needed to start and complete the project. My client had selected my structural engineering services for an as-built analysis and review of existing buildings. They had independently selected Defined Dimensions to prepare drawings for the permitting jurisdiction's requirements and these drawings served as the basis for my review. Chase Gibson had performed a good on-site review of both structures and prepared a very thorough and well presented set of drawings and details. His work was clear and extensive. It served to lighten my load in finishing the required reports. He was quick to respond to my requests for added notes to the drawings. This was my first interface with Chase and I would now elect to use his services in the future.
