I started my career in remodeling as a carpenter. There is no question that this background and experience has made me a better designer. When I enter a home, I quite literally have X-Ray vision. I know how the space was put together. I understand the fundamentals of structural engineering. Yet it takes more than this to be a successful professional building designer. It is important to study architectural history, particularly the various styles of traditional residential architecture, so you understand proper proportion, balance and style. I have an instinct for space planning. I study and pay attention to flow, patterns of living and lifestyle. I am ever vigilant to what is new and available in cabinets, plumbing fixtures, fireplaces, appliances, surface materials etc. so I can make educated recommendations and suggestions to my clients. This includes an understanding of best practices and current trends relating to universal design. Too often, significant money is spent on home improvements that overlook the subtle, but all-too-important design details that would age-proof the work and seamlessly incorporate the extra comfort and ease of use that everyone should enjoy. I understand the basics of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. Additionally, it is important to know how to use and detail the installation of various types of building materials. I have a passion for design and an eye for detail. My experience is vast with familiarity designing projects across a broad range of styles and budgets. You can count on my ability to deliver award-winning design with integrity and excellence.

Tim is a creative designer. We have had Tim assist us on multiple projects. He is the ultimate professional and our projects couldn't be more beautiful. He has the vision to create amazing designs and plans Housing projects can be stressful. He is patient and calm in the midst something that can be chaotic. We first hired Tim as our realtor when we were purchasing our home. He was very easy to work with, always making himself available to us throughout the search and being very patient while it went on for months. His knowledge of remodeling and design was very useful in helping us to see a home's potential. After helping us buy the right house, we enlisted his design services to draft a plan for a master bath remodel. He listened to our wants and needs and created a design that met them all, coming up with some creative solutions to spacial issues we were having trouble resolving. Tim was very thorough and obviously passionate about his work. We highly recommend him and would definitely work with him again!

The process with Tim was streamlined from the get-go. His role as real estate agent, designer, and project manager provided project continuity that you can't really find elsewhere. We have a beautifully crafted home that was conceptualized by Tim, and he was there at every stage to ensure his vision was properly implemented. We would definitely recommend him.

We have had the privilege of having Tim work on home several times, and each time we have been delighted with the results. He updated our 1980's family room and created a very warm, elegant facade for our fireplace and electronics. Our favorite renovation was the work Tim did to transform our ordinary deck into a sunroom that connects to our kitchen area. People constantly say "This must be the room you spend all your time in!" because of all the windows and the beautiful design. Tim is easy to work with and completely trustworthy, which is important when someone is working in your home. We appreciate the ideas he has which are always beyond what we can imagine. We will always call Tim when we have a home project.

We have a 1920's center hall colonial that had some intriguing design challenges due to a mid-80s remodel. We hired Tim after several years of trying to figure out the design on our own. It was worth every penny!! Tim came up with a design that was simple, highly functional, and maximized our space within our budget. We are excited to move forward with the construction phase and will post pictures of the before and after so others can see what will be an amazing transformation. Stay tuned.
