Sandra Booher was the first person we met who made our dream home a reality. She listened to us with regard to what we wanted in our home, made some amazing suggestions and had many ideas my husband and I would have never thought of which we implemented. Our home is now complete and could compete in any Sunset Magazine without a doubt. Sandra was a professional at all times, yet very personable, read the room and we can honestly call her a friend for life now. Thank you for our amazing home. We were so blessed to have found Sandra! Our contractor recommended her to us and we could not be happier! We have dreamed of adding on to our home for eight years. During that time I constantly struggled with how we could add on to our home and have it “not look like an addition” we have a very open floor plan to begin with so I knew it would be tricky. The first time we met with Sandra, we knew she was the one to help us bring our 1970's home up to date. She was able to see how amazing the house could be. Sandra was easy to work with, and was open to our input and suggestions. The end result is amazing! We love our home and know that it never could have looked this wonderful without Sandra. My wife and I purchased a parcel of land in 2004 with a dream of building a vacation / retirement home someday. I felt that with my engineering background I might be able to do a preliminary design of our house, incorporating nature and potential views at the building site we had purchased. Fast forward over 10 years of life, it became apparent we needed help. We live and work in the SF Bay area and just didn’t have the time and knowledge to do the project properly. In the process of purchasing the property we had used a local surveyor to verify lot lines. The initial surveyor referred me to small firm that specialized in Topographical Surveys. He completed a very accurate & professional Topographical Plot with state of the art equipment. I was very impressed with his work and ask for advice on how to proceed and who he might recommend with the abilities & talents we were looking for to help us move the project along. He immediately recommended Sandra & Fine Line CAD Home Design. As colleagues, they had worked together on many projects and he felt Sandra was a good match for us and our project. We eventually contacted Sandra and met with her at the property. A lot of information was exchanged between us and we decided to work with Sandra and Fine Line CAD Home Design do the project. She ask us to define what we wanted and expected in the house to best meet our desires. We made a list of everything we wanted, such as architectural style, square footage, number of bedrooms, mud room, single level living space, three car garage and such. She and her team followed up shortly with a preliminary floor plan by email which basically accomplished everything we had ask for. Everything seemed to be in the proper place and it all fit well into the build site and nature. Except for a few additions and improvements suggested by Sandra and her team, and a few dimensional changes. That initial floor plan remains primarily unchanged to this day. The exterior roof line, architectural style, changed to a some degree due to solar system changes. This took no more than a few moments on the CAD system. We accepted the preliminary design at that point. They went back to work to complete the plans with all the details, the engineering review phase and getting ready for submission to permitting. The County Planning Dept. required some minor detail updates and a few very small changes, overall the process went very well with the help of Sandra and the team. By this time I realized we should have already been working to find a builder to be able to continue moving ahead with the project. We went back to Sandra for referrals for builders she had worked with that she felt were a good match to work on this project and work with us. We did pick one of her referrals for our builder and have worked with him for most of the last year on the project with great results. It has been during this time that we have begun to understand the value of the Fine Line Team. Her network of very capable colleagues have contributed to the project in their own specialties with great results. Our builder has worked with Sandra throughout the project along with all the other subs with very pleasing results to this point. Although the project is still ongoing, we are nearing completion. We have found the process of building the house, from our perspective, more intense than I expected. A lot of decisions need to be made, research needs to be done and choices need to be decided. The experience of all the people involved has been valuable, without their input we may have given up. The reason we are building this house is to get what we want on a beautiful piece of property. We think we are almost there.

Working with Sandra was a pleasure! We gave her several different home styles we liked and she was able to design our home using the high points from each design. About me, I am a general building contractor, have many decades of work experience and have designed and built many homes in my career. Sandra and her team at Fine Line CAD Home Design are by far the best design team I have worked with and here are the reasons everyone should use this firm for their construction related project: •They get construction from a builder’s point of view. At the same time the interiors are well thought out and they are up to date on creating a floor plan that you will be comfortable in and very proud of for as long as you live in it. •Teamwork, they are connected to a team of other professionals that are part of their team and are as amazing to work with as Sandra’s team is. She knows who to put where and when. •Most design firms just want to design, give you a set of plans and move on. Not Sandra. I am amazed at how she and the team pursue excellence. Once you get your design and plans, she follows up regularly to make sure your project is progressing and always wants feedback on how to make things more efficient, something you just don’t find much anymore. Working with Sandra was a great experience! She's very friendly and has a good design eye. She has a good team surrounding her as well which we definitely appreciated. I would say I did hope for the process to go a bit quicker but I also understand she had other projects and was making sure we had what we wanted. I definitely would recommend Sandra and would hire her again in the future!

We gave Sandra at fine line a real challenge, We wanted a large building with open concept with above storage that still looked good in a residential neighborhood. Sandra delivered everything we asked for and are very very happy with the results. Work was completed with no design issues which I feel is the sign of great design work.

Very professional...ideas were up to date and realistic...knowledge of building construction and codes was very apparent....when we finally got everything to turn into the building department, it was very organized and made that experience a breeze. A couple things seemed to take longer than expected but overall a very good experience and I would recommend her for a addition/remodel.

Great design! When I went in to discuss a wood stove, the inspector I talked to said you do really good work. I agree. The layout is amazing. I feel I am not worthy of a shop this nice. We will have a celebration in September. You will be invited of course. Jenny wants to have a Bluegrass band playing in the shop!
