About Us

J's Pro-Draft is a residential design service company specializing in custom homes, room additions and remodel projects. I work with professional builders, remodelers and private homeowners to create working drawings in the Quad Cities and surrounding communities. Over the span of my career, I have worked on projects that range from room additions to million dollar homes. I was the designer of the Q.C.H.B.A. raffle house, which was donated to the United Way in 2001, plus a number of parade home designs. My clients enjoy the one on one relaxed atmosphere and flexible hours that a small business offers. This is a full time career, so special attention is taken to details in the drawings. In addition, I offer a lot of input and options in your house design along with my knowledge and experience in the building business.

Having worked in the structural component business for the past 27 years I have had the privilege of working with Jay Henderkott of J's Pro-Draft. He is very knowledgeable of every aspect of the building process. When I have one of Jay's plans in front of me I feel confident the plan will work, from sizing beams to designing the roof system.

As a truss manufacturer the most important aspect of our job is a good plan. Without a good, detailed plan to start with mistakes can be made down the line in the construction process. With J's Pro-Draft we don't have those problems, his plans are detail and have everything that we want on them from the get go. If we do have a question, Jay is there to answer the phone and get the question that we do have answered without causing any delay in the building process.
