We were looking to take our kitchen and living area from an ugly 1964 to the beautiful modern space we had dreamed of and we had no clue where to start. We had a good idea what we wanted, but had no experience with major renovations. Kelsey was an absolute godsend! We loved her personality from the start. She's pleasant, personable and professional and was able to steer us from making some questionable choices that, in the end, were the best advice! She showed us how we could use the space differently and pointed out some things we hadn't thought of. Then she created a layout and helped us find some great service providers, from locally manufactured cabinets to countertop fabricators that were reliable and did wonderful work and was invaluable when it came to sourcing tile and countertops. In the end, we're over the moon with how the space came out. Love Love Love it! I would recommend Kelsey in a heartbeat.

Working with Kelsey was amazing from start to finish! She was creative and practical, found amazing solutions and transformed a truly horrible layout into a graceful and functional home. She had solutions to problems I hadn’t even thought of. She’s always kind, responsive, and on top of it. I could not recommend her highly enough! One thing that was particularly important to me is that she approached my home from a perspective of functional use for a family. She has kids herself and understood that things like noise level mitigation were important. She didn’t sacrifice function for form, but the end result is truly graceful and beautiful. I liked that She was responsive to my needs/opinions and never let ego get in the way. She was never defensive , always responsive and respectful. She’s truly a pleasure to work with. KD Project Design exceeded our expectations. We had a clunky, unimaginable first floor layout and transition from kitchen to living room. We knew when we purchased our home that it was awkward and an eye sore but could not wrap our heads on how to make it functional and aesthetically pleasing. Kelsey has been great to work with. Starting our first ever reno project, we were not sure what to expect and she walked us through the process seemlessly, connected us with amazing contractors and vendors and was extremely helpful with her time to discuss and give thoughtful feedback on changes as needed. This last year we worked with Kelsey Nichols on a complicated and major renovation/addition to our mid-century home. The outcome was beyond our expectations and we could not be more thrilled. Kelsey is a best-in-class architect with vision, creative superpowers and a resourcefulness that puts her in league of her own. Her command of the entire process, from big picture ideation to final executional details made the process as stress-free as it possibly could be. It was such a relief to work with someone with a definitive point of view and excellent taste in interior design concepts as well as landscape design. Her constant communication with the general contractor and all of the subs kept the project moving and on budget and her understanding of unique materials made many work-arounds possible and solutions appear when we couldn't see them. Kelsey helped create our dream house and made the process fun- she is an absolute joy to work with.

Kelsey did an amazing job helping us remodel the entire first floor of our home. She was extremely patient and knowledgeable about every detail throughout the entire process. Unfortunately, we had a few issues with different trades people and Kelsey worked above and beyond on our behalf to ensure the other trades took care of the problem. In the end the results were beyond what we could have asked for. We will definitely work with Kelsey again in the future to complete the remodel of our master bathroom. She is a true pleasure to work with.

Kelsey did an incredible job helping me to redesign my master bathroom to the most beautiful and elegant space. She was very patient throughout the entire process and really took the time to get into my style based on the few ideas I had in my head and the style of my house in general. Everything she recommended complimented the overall look and I could not be happier with the finished product. We have been so impressed with the design and support provided to us by Kelsey. She was able to rework an awkward unused area our 1890s home into a truly impressive and functional space. Her guidance, planning, and connections have made the renovation project as seamless as possible.

Kelsey Nichols is an amazing and very talented architect. Her assignment was to transform my 754 sq.ft. circa 1946 house with a single car attached garage into my dream home. And did she ever! When I met Kelsey at my little house, she was genuinely interested in getting to know me. As she scoped out her task at hand, she listened attentively to my wish list. This included: 1. Use existing garage space, 2. Vault the ceiling, 3. Open and enlarge kitchen, 4. Update bathroom, 5. Add a 1/2 bathroom, 6. Create an office, 7. Add a 2-car detached garage in back of the house. At our next meeting, Kelsey presented me with her design. It incorporated EVERYTHING I wanted, and then some. She provided additional options, as well. She was so mindful of my desires and my budget. She nailed it with flying colors! As things started moving forward, Kelsey kept me well informed of what was happening and always made herself available to answer questions and make suggestions. What an exciting time for me! Then, Hello 2020! Pandemic Pandemonium. Things slowed down abruptly, but my contractor managed to navigate through this challenge. My home is now complete. It is SO beautiful and absolutely stunning! Kelsey’s vision and use of space was spot on. The vaulted ceiling makes a HUGE difference. My home is cozy, comfortable and feels so spacious! It is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. It is PERFECT for me! I am so happy! Each time I come through the front door, it takes my breath away. I am totally awestruck! Thank you, Kelsey!

Our experience with Kelsey of KD Project Design was exceptional. From start to finish, she was professional, responsive and flexible! Kelsey made thoughtful suggestions to maximize our space, and she tailored elements to suit our young family. Her input made all the difference in our vision. My family worked with Kelsey on a significant remodel of our main floor which included relocating our kitchen to the dining area, adding new spaces (including a new powder room and mudroom), moving and removing walls, raising ceilings, etc. Her vision and expertise in what is possible was so valuable during the planning and budgeting process and she was incredibly responsive and patient through multiple design plan revisions. She really listened and worked with us to find a plan that addressed the specific need of our family. Kelsey helped connect us to qualified professionals including engineers who were able to sign off on plans and provide the documents and certifications we needed to get the necessary permits to start our project. She also provided several connections for contractors, custom cabinet manufacturers, etc. which was very helpful during the bidding/budgeting process. Her follow up leading up to, during and post project is totally above and beyond and her advice and guidance was essential to making our project run smoothly. We could not be more happy with the results of our remodel and I have had multiple guests tell me our house looks like it's straight out of a magazine. I would highly recommend Kelsey and KD Project Design. You won't be disappointed!
