Milestone Studio

We contacted Miles at Milestone Studio and made arrangements to meet at our project site. Miles was on time brought a positive attitude. Miles listened to our thoughts and dreams and presented us with some fresh ideas. He came prepared and delivered us a design in a timely manor. Miles worked closely with us to develop a design that we decided to build. I would highly recommend Milestone studio to anyone who is considering building a home.

Miles Osterman was recommended by our contractor, and that plus an initial meeting convinced my wife and I to hire him to design our new home. We had a basic idea of what we wanted and Miles was more than happy to take our basic idea and refine it. He was busy with several projects but completed ours in a timely manner and ready for permit application. We have not started construction yet, but site work is underway and things should be started sometime in November. To sum up, Miles did a great job for us and I would highly recommend him.

We interviewed others about designing our new home but Miles stood out. Miles was open to our ideas, which were not the norm in the area that we were building, and we appreciated that. Miles had great input that incorporated our design needs and our wish list. Miles designed a covered, two tiered, backyard deck and patio for us. He was kind enough to structure it in such a way that we could build it in two stages allowing us to evaluate the central design before committing to the entire plan. He was very good at communicating with both my wife and me, which was very important to us. He has very good ideas and is comfortable thinking out of the box He welcomes and almost insists on involving a/your contractor early in the process as part of his desire to help set expectations for the project especially as it relates to cost. He sets these expectations without being harsh or condescending and he respects the importance of your project big or small. He also supports the concept of ‘sweat equity" for the Do It Yourselfers out there, which we are. We will definitely call on Miles in the future for any design work we may need.

He has some great ideas, seems to know his info and flow of the project. Always on time, very polite and respectful, hard worker.

My wife and I just broke ground on our dream house in El Dorado Hills. One of the reasons we are so excited about this project is Miles Ostermann. We hired Miles to draw up our house plans, and he certainly gave us more than we expected. Miles draws up plans with more than just an artistic angle. He also brings a practical side to building…where you not only know your house will look good, but will also be livable and practical to build. This ability has actually saved us money and made our house a home. Miles also acted as our liaison with the Serrano architectural committee. He represented our interests in meetings with the committee. In this way, Miles more than met our expectations. In conclusion, we are extremely pleased with all our interactions with Miles Ostermann. Milestone Studio designed our recent remodel. Miles worked closely with us to come up with a wonderful great room plan and master bedroom addition for our mid '70's ranch style home. He knew what it would take to see our vision and work within our budget. We now have the home we always wanted!
