My wife and I are building a Mid Century Modern Home and were trying to come up with exterior design ideas and none really jumped out at us. We are also not professional designers. We looked on line and found Mirk Studios and to say the least we are so glad. Eddy listened to our ideas and some photos of homes we found on line and put together a design that was a home run! Everything we were trying to figure out they did and more. We can't tell you how happy we are with Mirk Studios and their design team. I could not be more pleased with the designs Mirk Studios came back to me with. I bought the two color scheme package, and it was definitely worth the extra cost to have two different looks to decide between. It’s going to be so hard to decide between them, I may end up combining elements from both designs for my remodel.

MirkStudios and Eddy were FANTASTIC!! The entire process was great. I provided some basic information about the project, design style and inspiration photos.Eddy and team came back in-time, just as promised, with the most beautiful rendering... everything that I wanted and more! Everything was perfect in the first rendering provided, but I wanted to see another color option and requested a color change as part of the complementary revision – they revised it within a day, and it gave us a better idea of what color scheme we would want to use. They answered all my questions. Highly recommended, very helpful, professional and on-time!

I can attest that the true strength behind Mirk Studios' service rests with the fact that its design team is not made up of “yes-men” (or, “yes-people”). “Eddy” and his talented team made the outcome of my home’s paint job an overwhelming success - by rendering schemes containing colors that I specifically said I did not want for the main body of my home. Mirk’s “Color Swap” package allows for two schemes. Since I had a frenzy of ideas I wanted to test - but was also open to suggestions - I paid for two Swap packages up front for a total of four schemes. I had some of my own ideas for the first package, but for the second package I gave Eddy and team carte blanche. I said that they were the design experts, and I wanted them to surprise me. I did give them one caveat, though: I told them that I wasn’t a big fan of neutrals (I considered them “non-colors”) - specifically, I did not want the main body of my home to be gray. When I received all four renderings and placed them side by side, I immediately ruled the ones of my own choosing (hideous). As it turned out, it was the “surprise me” package that impressed me the most. Ironically, the schemes proposed in this package embodied the two caveats that I had put forth earlier: not only were both body colors neutral tones, but one of them was gray. I should have been miffed, but I was eager to work with the renderings; they were so eye-catching that it took a week of serious deliberation for me to reach a decision. Ultimately, I realized that I preferred the trim and accent colors used in the scheme with the gray body color - Eddy and team had made that rendering so visually enchanting that I wanted to live there (and now I do). Out of curiosity, I asked Eddy why he and his team arrived at these body color choices, especially after hearing my thoughts about neutrals - specifically gray. This was his response: “We could tell based on your inspiration photos that you are more into bright and bold colors, so we wanted to find more neutral tones that would still appeal to your desire for color. Shade Grown and Grays Harbor can both present as gray (so neutral), yet they have robust green and blue undertones, respectively, that we thought would still appeal to you.” Eddy and team taught me to trust and appreciate neutrals for their potential to be just as vibrant and exciting as non-neutral colors. The bottom line is that you can count on Mirk Studios to handle your project with careful deliberation and discernment. Even if you already have firm ideas about a scheme and you just want a virtual rendering for the painting crew (I gave mine to the painters the day the painting began, and they referred to it all week), I urge you to give Eddy and team a “wildcard” or two anyway. Mirk’s fees are very reasonable, so you will likely have the leverage to purchase extra schemes - and their wildcard renderings just might include some innovative ideas that never would have occurred to you.

We didn’t know what the heck to do with our new addition and how to perfect it to some ideas we had in mind for our new addition. Mirk came back with the rendering and it was incredible! We were floored and honestly doesn’t even look like the same house. We can’t wait to start the addition and use Mirk’s new look! Thanks guys! Also much more affordable than Brick & Battan. Kora

Our home was hit by a tornado this fall and we were given the opportunity to upgrade our exterior. Not knowing how to upgrade and modernize while keeping within the original design aesthetic we researched exterior design companies and came across Mirk. We went off of the positive reviews and couldn’t have been more pleased with our rendering. We can’t wait to start the transformation!!

I am so incredibly excited to see my beautiful rustic cabin updated to 2021 with Mirk's rendering. Wow!! I was stuck on a lot of elements. What to do with the railings? The walkway? The unsightly stack of wood? How to improve the front door? I was clueless and in desperate need of professional help. They exceeded my expectations! They included flower boxes and cute little landscape elements that tie in perfectly with the house. They even added an adorable patio set that I can actually purchase from Target! They listed the exact paint colors from Sherwin Williams, it was all very detailed and I am able to get started right away putting their suggestions into work. I was able to ask for a revision that they hit the mark with perfectly with! I am beyond thrilled with the results and cannot wait to get started!
