We’ve been working on sketches and concepts for our dream home for nearly 3 decades and choosing the right designer to bring these thoughts to reality was a big step for us. Shawn stood out to us from the beginning as friendly, professional, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with. He carefully considered aspects of our non-conventional design and provided feedback and suggestions on things we were not aware of, ultimately delivering our unique plans to us on budget. He was willing to work on tweaks and redesigns to get things just right and never seemed to tire of finding enhancements that made the house shine. As we work through construction with our builder, Shawn has provided support and additional information whenever required, and stays in contact with us to keep up with the progress of the build. Working with Shawn was truly a pleasure.

When we purchased our home with the intent of adding an addition, including an indoor swimming pool and mezzanine craft room, New Century Design were recommended to be a part of the construction team. Shawn and his team worked with us to design a space that exceeded all of our requirements and expectations. As the MD requirements threw some twists into the plans, New Century Design were able to find solutions that met permitting requirements without changing the integrity of our vision. Shawn and his team were a pleasure to work with. We would recommend them to friends and family, and would absolutely use them again if the need were to arise.

Great to work with and get things done. New Century, came in to a project where another vendor didn't think the discretionary items we wanted to build would get approved. In the end these guys, were easy to communicate with, fair budget and on time. They got all of our discretionary build items and we got a rear attached garage in an infill. We have referred friends to them who used them and were also happy. We would recommend them anytime and we will use them again for future projects.

We've worked with Shawn on three large projects now, two homes in Calgary and our place in California. He was great to work with! He'd patiently listen to what we wanted, then provided us with calm, cool council to help make our, and his, ideas doable and look great. He keeps on eye on both the finished look and how it will be constructed (we wish our builders and trades did the same!) He was on-time, prepared, polite, and professional for every meeting and phone call. Turn around time for drawings and communication was excellent and there was never any cost surprises. We will definitely hire Shawn and his team for our next project.

Shawn and his team helped us design our new home. The experience with them was great. The design process was smooth and efficient and the end design was better than we hoped for. It is surprising how much the team did for us including design, permit drawings, builder plans etc. Couldn't have done it without them. We would gladly work with them again.

We hired New Century to draw up plans for our new house. Shawn and Clay have been great to work with! They have been patient with us through all of the changes we have made, and they always responded quickly to our requests.

Shawn and his team are amazing at way they do. We took an idea to them, and it came to life. They had great ideas that we didn't think of and offered suggestions the whole way through.
