Our house burned down in the 2020 fires. In January 2022 we hired Paul Hastings Design to work with us on rebuilding. It is still an ongoing project which Paul has been overseeing every step of the way. From the design and the plans for the house to dealing with every permit issues that Napa County threw at us. Paul has been great to work with. He has been very patient in answering any questions we had and dealing with every problem that arose along the way. Paul is enormously talented and listened to what we wanted so the plans he drew up for the new house are awesome and completely tailored to what we asked him. The finished house is going to be fabulous.

Paul is an "old school" designer in all the best ways. My project is a small accessory dwelling unit and Paul offered great ideas to maximize the efficiency of the space. I'm excited to get under construction!

After losing our Sonoma house to the wildfires we interviewed several architects for the rebuilding process. Paul made our decision easy. His vision for our new home was spot on, and his creativity for our unique issues made a difficult project appear simple. His professionalism, attention to detail, and great demeanor makes him a pleasure to work with on our project. We give him our highest recommendation for building a beautiful home.

Paul designed our new home from scratch. We especially appreciated his expertise, promptness, and communication skills. He listened to our needs and added insight of his own to perfect our dream home. He also took time to visit our home as it progressed to ensure it was what we had envisioned. Paul made this process easy for us. We would highly recommend him and would use him again in the future.

Paul Hastings was the architect who designed our home and selected and managed subcontractors needed to complete the county’s permit process. Our home is an approximately 2,700 square-foot family residence with a large grand room, two bedrooms, three baths, office, two utility rooms and garage on the ground floor and an approximately 670 square-foot one-bedroom, one-bath guest apartment with kitchen/living room on the second floor over the garage and utility rooms. Paul worked efficiently and effectively in producing timely drawings following each of our meetings and provided continuing support during the construction process as needed. Paul is talented, competent, confident and personable and was a pleasure to work with while he guided and listened to us in completing the design. We would certainly use Paul again and are pleased to recommend him to others.

We feel so fortunate to have found Paul! He has been working with us on a major remodel to a historic home, and is such a vital member of the team. He values the unique features of our old home, and had the vision to offer suggestions that will enhance the space while maintaining the historic integrity. Paul Hastings designed our new house after we lost our family home in the 2017 Tubbs Fires. Since our children were grown and off to college, we decided to rebuild a completely different design. Paul was very patient with us and in the end, he designed an elevation and floor plan that blends beautifully into our rural country setting! We are so excited to be moving into our stunning Mountain Modern home designed by Paul Hastings!!

Paul Hastings of Paul Hastings Design came highly-recommend by our contractor. After losing our home in the 2017 California wildfires, Paul designed our new home. We wanted to follow the same floor plan as our old home, but there were no plans to build from. He gave us a new and updated look to our 48-year old home, following a similar and familiar floor plan. Paul works with very experienced and sought-after engineers and we were able to acquire a building permit quickly without any hiccups or hold-ups. Once the building began, Paul was there to give advice on paint, hardware, etc. We never expected to be designing or building a new home at this point in our lives (or ever), but Paul made the process much easier.

We hired Paul to draw the plans for an addition to a home that we purchased last year after we lost our house in the 2017 wildfires. Although Paul was already very busy, he made time to fit us in and support us through this difficult time. Our new home is located in an historic district so Paul also needed to do some research to make sure that we were in compliance with the additional regulations. Paul is a pleasure to work with - he is responsive, timely & makes himself available to answer any questions that you may have. He takes pride in his work. I highly recommend him.
