In this case we were adding a room over a two-story family room. Any renovation can certainly present unexpected challenges, once walls and framing are opened up where the true construction can be seen. Cavalier Renovation ran into an unexpected issue with a load bearing pier that ended up under the existing HVAC unit. Of course, that would not work! I was able to relocate the pier(s) and beam to support the load within 4 hours and give them the revised drawings
.
I believe that clear communication is key in any renovation project, and I do my best to answer calls promptly and provide immediate answers to any questions that may arise. I am glad that I was able to answer your calls and address your concerns about hangers and drilling beams immediately. I look forward to potentially working with you again in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to write your awesome review.
She called me about 8 months before to do a kitchen redesign including adding an island. I recommended that she work with a kitchen designer. Unfortunately, Cindy was not able to accomplish what she needed with the kitchen designer she hired and called me back.
While I do not claim to be a kitchen designer, I do a good job and have contacts that can help me as needed.

I went to their home and measured the kitchen area and entered the information into my laptop onsite. Their home had limited space to put in the island and I was concerned with the walking space on each side. We worked together to come up with a design that worked for her.
Cindy and her husband were able to see the new kitchen in 3d before I left their home and see the space laid out in their home. While they were happy with the design, I was not completely convinced. I spoke at great length with a friend of mine on the other side or the country in Portland Oregon about my concerns. She gave me some wonderful insights and ideas I needed to be satisfied the final design.
I called Cindy to let her know what I had discovered and setup an online meeting. I showed her the new design in 3d. She loved the concept and we created a final design of the new kitchen, ready for the cabinet maker.

It was a pleasure working with you on both projects. It is gratifying answering your questions to ensure that you and your contractor understand the elements of your project. I remember that you and your family members stated that the 3d renderings made it to where everyone better understood the screened-in deck (three season room) with the 4 track windows. I appreciate your kind words and exceptional review!

Thank you for your in-depth professional review. When you mentioned, " He remains available long after the project is complete," I'm sure you are talking about the rain leaking into the kitchen from (2022) last year. Evan had had multiple roofing, framing, and siding contractors trying to locate the leak unsuccessfully. Eventually, Evan called me as a last resort since I designed their home and understood the total design better than anyone. We did an online meeting where he could show me where the leak was in the kitchen. About fifteen feet from any exterior walls. I was able to point him to one area on the back of the house that was the likely leakage point. This seemed unlikely since it was protected under an eave. It turned out that the installed gutters were run under the eave, almost against a wall. With heavy rain or melting snow, the gutters would overflow and force water into the wall. We believe this mainly happened during the winter. The snow would thaw and refreeze, making its way into the wall from the soffit. The damage was repaired, and gutters were relocated to solve the leak.
I have always enjoyed working with you and am very happy to be able to resolve your leak issue.
I look forward to seeing your home in person when I'm near your area.

Thank you for your in-depth review and pictures! David and yourself did a great job contracting your major home makeover and addition. Unfortunately, the pandemic made your process of building so much more challenging than average. The material prices went up, along with the wait times for product delivery. Thankfully both of you teamed up and handled everything you had to deal with better than many contractors. I was fortunate to have clients able to take on such a huge project and pull it off so gracefully. I'm honored to have been involved in helping you to have the home of your dreams.
I appreciate your detailed communication about my services and personality, especially since working with homeowners is our forte.
Your review genuinely describes our services for other homeowners to read and understand more about what we do for our clients. It means so much more to myself and future clients than anything I could post on our website.
I'm gratified to know that I was able to be of help to both of you when you needed it. Hopefully, I reduced your stress level by knowing I was there to help in any way needed.
Thank You again for your 5-star review!

Their review and statement about billing are fabricated, and I have the emails, 113 time stamped and geo-located pictures of the as-built project and geo-located time tracking, and text to prove it and the timeline.
Good luck with your new business.

I vividly remember the day I spent at your home, listening to your thoughts and translating them into tangible plans through sketches and CAD drawings. It was a day full of ideas and promise. I'm glad I could help visualize your home's potential. Adjusting and perfecting the design through our meetings is a typical part of the design process. I will always appreciate it, especially seeing the plans come to life.
I look forward to visiting you and getting photos of your completed home. I plan on doing a before and after comparison with the pictures.
Hearing that you have completed and are residing in a one-of-a-kind, gorgeous home that you plan to enjoy for the rest of your lives is the greatest reward for my work. Your affirmation that you would choose my services again for a future project is the highest compliment I could receive.
