“I own a great log home but the contractor I used to initially build it installed his own raw pine "log home" type deck handrails which rotted within 10 years. When looking for repairs, very few contractors could do it, much less had the materials to replace the log rails. Finding Northern Log Supply was wonderful. They have a great variety of Cedar log home components and handrails. This company answered all my e-mail questions and offered tech assistance when asked. I sent my dimensions in and Northern Log sent me components for several sections of cedar log handrails that were attractive and very well crafted. I chose to assemble the handrail components myself and found their materials to be accurately cut and finished. It took a rubber mallet, a couple of days and a simple brace to pound the handrails together (no connecting hardware was needed, just pintels pressed into the pre-drilled holes) after I stained/preserved all the parts (Northern Log would have pre-finished and pre-assembled the handrails for a reasonable fee if I had wanted that). Everything fit great and looks terrific, very good match to those handrails that were still existing on my home. I recommend this company to all log home owners who need repairs or addition components for the building.”
