FitzGerald Wood Products owner, Patrick FitzGerald, grew up in a family business devoted to superior quality wood products. As a young boy in Chicago, some of Patrick’s first memories were of watching his father pack up veneer sample crates to call on some of the nation’s largest wood product manufacturers. As a teen Patrick spent his summers in Norfolk unloading Mahogany from rail cars for his family’s business. In 1980 he was hired as the Yard and Operations Manager and in three years was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Procurement. In 1994 Patrick founded his own company, FitzGerald Wood Products, Inc. With an initial emphasis on marine clients, FitzGerald Wood Products supplied wholesale hardwood such as Teak, Mahogany, Cherry, and Ash to leading boat builders in the US. The business later shifted to serve primarily architects and contractors, focusing on commercial and residential interiors. We are now a leading wholesale hardwood distributor supplying mainly to architects and contractors throughout the US. FitzGerald Wood Products specializes in wholesale hardwood flooring, decking, siding, boards & lumber, stairs, and architectural mouldings.
