Reclaimed Wood Chicago

I loved every minute of working with these guys, we bought some beams to finish out our great room and several mantels for our fireplaces. Professional to deal with, high quality wood that has been beautifully kiln dried, and frankly just cool people to deal with. Would recommend to ANYONE looking for this type of thing.

Modern Urban Woods made us a table top from reclaimed pine. We visited their facility to select the boards they would use. The end product was awesome. Adam was great to work with.

I am a local interior designer whom worked with Adam and his team to bring "Old World" elements into a kitchen renovation project. Using reclaimed wood elements, we worked together to determine the best method of fabrication/installation and in the end the process was quite seamless.

We were looking for something unique and architecturally interesting for our formal living room, when my wife came across Modern Urban Woods. We got in touch with Adam, who was simply a pleasure to work with. He and his team of craftsman are some of the finest in the business. When the time came for the install Devin and his team exceed our expectations and we could be happier with the final result. We have already started the process of creating a few more projects. They are great guys, with a great and unique style and product.

This year I bought my first home/condo and wanted to do something a little different to make the space stand out. I decided on getting some reclaimed barn wood and stumbled on Adam and Urban Modern Woods in Chicago. I contacted Adam and he drove over and we figured out to put 2 6 inch wide barn beams on the ceiling. Later they came over and installed the beams and they look great. I receive more compliments on the beams than anything else. It adds the perfect touch of rustic with reclaimed wood and modern. I highly recommend Adam and team. They were extremely easy to work with, completely professional and well priced. I'll definitely be using them for future projects.

I was searching for places to purchase reclaimed wood in the Chicago area when I came across the Modern Urban Woods website. I was immediately impressed by their site which was clean & easy to navigate, told their story and showed the many things they can do or you can do with their product. When I reached out to the owner about wanting to see some of their inventory I received a quick response and was able to go check out their warehouse the next day that I was available. We looked at the different styles I was interested in, and he got an idea of exactly what our team was looking for so that when our builder came to pick up the wood he knew exactly what to give him. We were so pleased with the end result that we actually went back to purchase more wood so that we could add on to our original project. I have and will continue to recommend Adam and Modern Urban Woods to friends and to anyone who asks. I just think they are a great, great company and I am so glad we have something this cool in the Chicago suburbs.

Modern Urban Woods is such a wonderful company to work with. We found them on Google and didn't know what to expect. They blew us away with their knowledge and professionalism. They worked with us every step of the way to accomplish our goals. We installed 3 beams in our living room ceiling and they came out exactly how we envisioned it. We also can't say enough about the install They kept our house very tidy and clean. They worked every minute on the job. Needless to say we are very excited and looking forward to future projects with them!

We couldn't be happier with how our project turned out! Adam was a pleasure to work with and helped in every way imaginable! He helped me hand pick each peice of wood and delivered it that day! These guys are the best. No question. I came to them after being totally frustrated by other carpenters/contractors who did not get our vision for the project. In 5 minutes Adam and his brother Devin completely understood our project, and actually contributed a bunch of improvements to the design. They had everything organized within a day or two, and their price was extremely reasonable. They kept me updated on my project the entire time, and I never had trouble reaching someone in their shop. When it came to the installation, they came in and worked with me through the night to make sure we were up and running for our first day in business. In the end, the final product significantly exceeded my expectations, which were already pretty high. I will definitely be working with them again!

We wanted the organic natural look of reclaimed wood. We looked into other options, but after we met with Adam, we were sold. He gave us a tour of the shop, educated us on reclaimed wood and history of the wood we were buying. The end result is stunning. My advice is take the risk on something you love. It will pay off. The right stuff at the right place at the right time! Our Irish Pub is finally complete. Modern Urban Woods did a very detailed job planning and installing our 120 year old pine board ceiling to give the pub the final touch. Pictures alone do not capture the character And attention to detail. We are extremely happy with their work and most impressed with the product they salvaged and converted to this use. Extreme care was taken to match and align boards that were adjacent in the former barn. They also offered creative practical ideas to make our 9 year vision complete!
