We couldn't be more happy with The Granite Place and Joni By Design . Our kitchen and bathrooms came out absolutely stunning. There was an issue with our island, and Jonathan came with his guys and addressed with professionalism and skilled carpentry. It came out more beautiful than we imagined. The quality and workmanship is the best. We HIGHLY recommend The Granite Place. They went above and beyond and they exceeded our expectations! They truly cared about our happiness with the job. Thank you Jonathan, Carol, Joni and crew!!! We love our kitchen and bathrooms!!!

We are very happy with our experience dealing with The Granite Place. They have a very nice and professional staff, and you see that as soon as you walk into their showroom. We were in the market looking for a good place to replace my kitchen counter tops with solid granite. After visiting a couple of Granite showrooms, we ended up at The Granite Place, by luck. As soon as we walked into the showroom, our initial reaction was very positive. Our initial contact was one of their sales staff Larissa. It was an honest and simple conversation, no pushing, just offering their services and explaining the process and pricing. We had a good feeling that we were dealing with an honest business. But before we finalized our decision we checked with a good friend and neighbor of ours to find out if he knew anyone in the Granite business. Interestingly enough, he recommended The Granite Place. At that point, it was an easy decision. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Robert & Helen Kalantari, Bedford, MA.

I have worked with The Granite Place on several different projects over several years - for the kitchen of my own home, as well as some rental units that I own. They are very professional, and the work they do is top quality. Every project has gone smoothly from quote to installation.
I look forward to using them the next time I have a granite project.

I would not recommend going to The Granite Place. We went to several different granite/marble counter-top stores in the area but unfortunately ended up going with The Granite Place (TGP). Clarissa was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the different remnants that they had (since we needed a small piece for a bathroom counter-top). Our good experience with TGP stopped after our first visit. We decided to work with them specifically because of the marble stone that we liked. We went back a couple days later with a deposit and told them exactly how big we needed it, and that we wanted the sink centered on the counter-top.
Sounds simple enough, but when we went back to pick up the finished product, there was so much wrong with it. We were devastated since the stone was basically ruined and we needed it for our construction project that week. When we tried to talk to the owner about it, she was instantly rude and defensive without even looking at what they did to the counter-top. Said "we don't do it like that", and "ugh, you people". I've never encountered anything like it when working with a company, let alone an owner. They didn't center the sink to the counter-top so it looked ridiculous and unbalanced, they used the wrong edge type on the sink (she tried to tell us it was pencil edge when it was clearly beveled, then later admitted that it was done wrong by a "new employee"), the top had scratches on it, the stone was cut upside down (we told them which part we wanted as the front and they marked it as such before it was cut), and the back-splash didn't line up with the stone as they said it would. They were able to get the other half of the stone that we liked and told us that they would redo it after probably 20 minutes of arguing.
After the difficulty with the first top, I talked to Clarissa and went over everything in great detail to reiterate how the first top should have been cut. I even took a picture of the uncut second stone, and marked it up in photoshop to show them which parts to avoid when cutting and we asked again to see the cut lines before they cut it to make sure we liked how it was laid out. I sent the picture and a list of all the specifics on the job so there wasn't any opportunity for confusion. They sent the picture of how it was going to be cut, and I responded that I would like it moved to the left. She responded back saying that they already cut it, and "this is what it looks like". Unreal. Why send the picture if you weren't going to wait an hour (I responded in an hour) for the response? Before they cut the sink and the faucet holes we went down there to see how it looked, and they had both in the wrong spot. We asked that it be moved a 1/2 inch forward from the first one because the faucet barely fit (rubbing up against the back splash). They had it in the same position as the original piece. After explaining what we wanted for a 3rd time the owner said she understood and that it would be done.
We had delivery scheduled for the second piece on Tuesday from 1-2. At 4pm they still hasn't come, and hours earlier our plumber (who was waiting for them to come so he could install the faucet) had to leave because it was taking too long, which put us behind schedule. When I called I was told that my window was 2-4 and that the installer was on his way. I said I needed to leave for a wake but that if they could come in 10 minutes then I could wait. A minute later they called to say that they hadn't finished the back-splash! How can you be "on the way" for a delivery if they hadn't finished it? So the delivery had to be re-scheduled again to the following day.
The delivery and installation the next day went fine, except for the installer banging his caulk guns into our newly installed door trim, causing a dent. The other installer was the other owner, her husband, who was very friendly and apologetic for all the issues we had - a very stark contrast to his rude wife.
I would never go back to this company and highly recommend that you don't either.

Hi Kristen,
Thank you for your review. First off, I want to apologize one more time for your bad experience here at the granite place. In response to your review, when you asked Clarissa to center the sink cut out, you did not mention you wanted the cut out centered on the stone. Where 95% of the time we center the sink to the cabinet, that’s where we did yours. Because this was a pick up order, we should have asked you for more specific dimensions and numbers. Unfortunately, this is where the miscommunication began. Had your husband told us when he picked-up the vanity that it did not look how you both wanted it, we would have fixed it right there and then. We don’t deny that mistakes happen on our end and we take full responsibility for them.
Since we initially did not have any other White Carrara material (similar to what you were looking for), we wouldn’t be able to fabricate you a new vanity, therefore you accepted our offer to fix the original vanity and return 60% of your money back (Not including the 2 shower pieces that you had not yet paid for, which we gave to you for free). Luckily, Clarissa was able to contact her customer who had a similar piece on hold and got the Ok to release it. We contacted you immediately after, to let you know we would make you a new vanity. That being said, we gave you the opportunity to do a layout on the new stone and to give us the correct measurements.
You sent us an e-mail with the picture of the stone and the vanity laid out exactly where you wanted it to be cut, including areas to avoid. In the e-mail you also asked the following: “Could you send a picture of what the fabricator is proposing for an outline of the sink before he cuts it?” Per your request, we sent you a picture of where we laid out the sink-cut out and proceeded with the rest of the fabrication. We cut the vanity exactly where you had requested in your previous e-mail. The reason why we asked you to come here for the third time was so we could avoid any more mistakes and make sure everything would be done the way you wanted it to be.
The installation was a courtesy on our part, because of the previous mistakes. We are sorry for running behind schedule and any other inconvenience. We will be sending you, your money back. Expect a check in the mail within the next 5 business days. Hope you enjoy your vanity.
Best Regards,

I highly recommend Jonathan and Carol of the Granite Place. They were responsive and very professional. I could not be happier with their work. They allowed for access to various local warehouses to select granite slabs. Their installation was to perfection. My builder said they had done some of the best work they have seen.
Job well done.

We recently had The Granite Place replace the countertop in our with a beautiful Juparana Cascadura granite countertop. The team came in on Tuesday to remove the old top and build the template, and then came back on Thursday to install the new top. We couldn't be happier. We got exactly what we wanted, at a very fair price, and delivered early!
One of the aspects of the crew that I really appreciated is the really nice job cleaning up after themselves each time they came into our house. It demonstrates a fine level of professionalism and attention to detail.
