We selected Excel Builders as the design-build firm to gut and reconfigure the main floor of our home and to update the exterior. We met with a few competitors and we instantly liked Trent and Christine. They were very engaged and passionate about what they do. After reflecting upon the project, I realize how fortunate we are to have worked with them. They were comforting and did such a great job leading us through the entire project. A major remodel with young children can be very stressful and having a trustworthy and supportive team is invaluable. They were always available and genuinely wanted us to be happy with the end result. They went above and beyond from day one. The design process went remarkably well. When my husband and I sat down with Christine for the initial design meeting, I told her that I was nervous to give her too much detail because I didn’t want to limit her creativity. She mainly asked us about our general aesthetic preferences and what we didn’t like. She got to know our personalities some and took note of our artwork. At the next meeting she unveiled her design concept and I was shocked; we loved the first iteration. I couldn’t believe that she nailed it with so little information. I noticed in the details of her design just how perceptive she was. We were thrilled. Because our project was so large, we did experience some delays--mostly change orders that we prompted. A few were due to unforeseen issues that were discovered once the walls came down. Trent was very transparent about the delays and impact to the budget, if any. He always presented multiple solutions and advised us on the option that he thought suited us best. We got to know the crew fairly well during the project. They were all very professional, respectful and friendly. They always cleaned thoroughly before leaving at the end of the day. Once the project wrapped, I kind of missed seeing their smiling faces every day, although it was nice to have our home back to normal. Lastly, let me mention the quality. The craftsmanship of the cabinetry and all of the details are top notch. We get so many compliments on the cabinetry and how well they are constructed. The cabinet guys took such pride in the work that they took pictures to show their wives the finished product because they were so proud. I just loved them. Excel Builders did not disappoint. I can’t say enough good things about them. If you are looking for a design build firm or a cabinetry shop, you need to meet them. They transformed our house into a beautiful customized home that we love.

We hired Artisan to design, build and install lockers for our mudroom. From my very first communication with the group to the final installation, Artisan is beyond top notch. All phases were prompt, extremely well done and competitively priced. The final build met and exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to use Artisan once again for future projects or refer to others.

Artisan built cabinets recently for my kitchen remodel. The design was exactly what I wanted, and they are very sturdy. I love the pullouts they created for pans/lids, and the angled drawer shelves for spices. I was very happy with the results!

The cabinets designed, built and installed for us as part of our recent simultaneous renovation of our two upstairs bathrooms (master and main) are beautiful and of really excellent quality. We were very pleased with how carefully we were listened to when discussing issues we had with the former stock cabinets and with the thoughtful, creative solutions provided.
