This review is directed specifically at Bellmont Cabinet Co. Our first cabinet order was delivered in May 2017. From what we could tell, we had only 2 cabinets damaged in shipping, out of 31 total cabinets ordered. We thought that was great. BUT the number of drawer faces and door faces that had manufacture defects (production - not natural wood) and needed replacing added up. Initially it was a bit disconcerting that you do not have a way to deal with Bellmont directly, although the building supply company we bought through has been steller. It is important to be sure and have a excellent contractor/supplier. She submitted our order for replacement doors, fronts, and bases. No hassle, just another 6-8weeks, as these cabinets are built to order. Fine. Get the replacements and notice that the joints went from spline to blind donut. Now we have mismatches on exposed corners. Find out they changed door manufacturers. This was a bit of a surprise. Bellmont builds the boxes, and they are excellent. They contract out the drawer faces & doors. Again, no questions asked replacing all door fronts and drawer faces, just another 6-8 weeks. This time they come with no hardware and no boring for hinge install. We specifically stated in the reorder: bored for hinges; hinges installed. Another 6-8 weeks. We receive bored doors, loose hinges, faces that we will have to have drilled. Because we live outside of their service area (we learned) they will not send anyone out to install the new fronts & doors. So, next step, approval for the additional cost of a cabinet contractor to come out and drill/install drawer fronts. Approved, no problem. Additional time. Here we are, January 9, 2018 after a 4th round of returning manufacture defected doors, and the lazy susan doors, for whatever reason, they just don't seem to be able to replicate the size of the 2 doors. Had to send measurements with side by side photo's. Picked up my final 7 RPL's, still needing 1 lazy susan door and 1 other. The one door they sent appears to be a 'second,' or off a display. Not new. Another 6-8 weeks. This should be done, I expect May 2018? We will see. Expect your project, if it is of any size to take 1 year. A low 2 for door and drawer quality in manufacturing; a 5 for customer service; a 1 for time it takes to complete a project due to lack of manufacturing quality control.
