Cabinets by Cantu has done a beautiful job remodeling our kitchen and bath! The owner’s years of experience in kitchen/bath layout and design was exactly what we had hoped for. Workmanship by Mimmo and his crew surpassed our expectations. They were professional and courteous from beginning to end. The cabinets, tiled backsplash, hood fan, sinks and faucets, countertop along with electrical and plumbing work was excellent. The office staff is also friendly and knowledgeable!

In 2015, Mimmo and his employees remodeled our kitchen, dining room, and living room. It was an amazing experience. Mimmo and his crew were truly professionals and obviously took great pride in their work. Mimmo and his crew gutted the kitchen down to the studs, tore out soffits, and basically took our kitchen down to when we built the house. The remodel was timely, professional, and superbly executed. At every turn, Mimmo and his crew worked to make things as easy as possible for us and kept us in the loop every step of the way. We loved his expertise, kindness, and honesty. Fast forward to this year, and now we need a master bath remodel. However, in order to complete the master bath we need to rip out a tub in the main bath and make it a walk-in shower now. Not only does the main bath look beautiful and like it always was that way, we love it. On to the master bath. Mimmo took it from the 1990s to today with expert craftsmanship, total professionalism, and with our concerns and needs met every step of the way. I have recommended Cabinets by Cantu to many friends and family members. Mimmo cares about his customers and his name. He stands by everything he does. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a quality job.

It might look pretty but if there’s an issue don’t ever think that the problem is a simple fix….take a look behind the walls and you’ll find that the entire job by Cantu was done incorrectly. We had a bathroom renovation done by Mimmo and his crew in March of ‘23. Although tile choices etc were made by me there was never a discussion on a curbless shower install, no mention of it ever. During install, even his tile guys were concerned about it but I was told it was too late to make changes and we would love it. From the minute the work was complete and the shower was in use, within seconds, the water not only accumulated in the shower due to lack of shower pitch, but it overflowed out of the shower and onto the main bathroom floor. This is a small single bathroom. Had the water remained on for the duration of a shower it would have run into the bedroom, carpeting and ultimately leak into the areas below. Mimmo returned twice and attempted to remove some floor pan tile and shave down the concrete to correct the pitch problem but also told me that this was to be expected and there was actually nothing wrong with it. And, I feel it’s important to mention that the pitch issue cannot be blamed on his workers doing an incorrect install, as Mimmo was the only one “allowed”to pour and pitch the shower pan/floor. To our horror, here are the findings of the new contractor. From what we thought was only a pitch problem (not 1/4 inch per linear foot) the whole shower was a complete screw up. Yes, the shower pitch was off but also the huge glass doors were hung on plastic anchors into the drywall instead of into a stud (meaning at some point these huge glass doors could pull out of the wall and perhaps kill someone). The drain of the shower was incorrectly placed, the waterproofing was not installed correctly or adequately and, in addition, the tile was adhered directly to the waterproofing material. From a professional standpoint, there was shadowing on all the tile (meaning it wasn’t placed smoothly in a professional manner), and the mudding on the walls was so excessive that there were huge curves on our originally straight walls. We hoped that would be it, but in addition, we found that two weight bearing studs had been cut through in order to place a niche! We had chosen a pre-made niche for install but Mimi’s guys told me he never used them as they were too expensive. Instead he custom makes each one to save money. The cut out he made for the niche through two study was not supported, meaning after use and time it would have sunk, leaked and needed to be redone. In other words the entire shower install was done incorrectly from beginning to end. Waterproofing, pan pitch, glass door install, tile work, drain, and niche build out!If you decide to move forward with Cantu, know your bathroom may look pretty …just hope and pray that you move out before the entire reno completely fails and you find out how the job was really done behind the walls!

We had two bathrooms done by Cantu. They were both done in minimal time. Our main bath was converted into a walk-in shower. Other people have seen the finished product. They exclaimed “What a beautiful job!” We would hesitate to recommend them. Mimmo and Joe were very easy to deal with.,

Cabinets by Cantú designed and manufactured our custom kitchen cabinets more than 20 years ago, and they still look brand new! We wanted to refresh the look with new granite counters, under-cabinet lighting, sink and backsplash. Once again, Mimmo and his crew did a fabulous job! We also transformed the look of our bathrooms with new counters, sinks and fixtures. They also refaced our dated fireplace with beautiful tile. Our only regret is that we didn’t call Cantu sooner the second time around! You can trust Mimmo and his craftsmen to treat your home as if it were their very own.

They have done my kitchen, bathroom and laundry room over the past 4 or 5 years. Mimmo and his staff are excellent and professional workers. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do remodeling for me! They were very helpful in picking out my selections and making recommendations. Work was completed on time and to my satisfaction. Also very nice, trustworthy and decent people!!

We hired this company to do the complete remodel of our kitchen. He assisted us throughout the entire process. We recieve many compliments about the kitchen. What a transformation! The remodel was in 2011. . He is currently working on two bathrooms for us.
