Dan Luna Exceptional Woodworking

Absolutely phenomenal work done by this amazing and extremely talented artist, Dan Luna. Not only is his work breathtaking, but this gentleman is one of the most respectfully pleasant men I have encountered. Recommended far beyond words can describe.

Dan and his crew are the ultimate professionals. One reviewer complained that he/she never received a response after multiple calls. I find this to be a highly suspect review based on my personal experiences with Dan and his company over the years. Dan embodies the ethos of the 'knight in shining armor' in all of his interactions with customers, employees and collaborators. He's the guy on the train who would throw himself on a grenade to save others. And most importantly, for this Houzz audience, his workmanship is masterful. He doesn't need this stellar review -- Dan's business has been booming for decades. But you, dear reader, don't know this. If you live in the Laguna/Newport/Costa Mesa/Dana Point, area you would do yourself well to engage Dan and his impressive crew with your remodel project.

After viewing several of Dan Luna's projects in other homes in Laguna Beach, we chose him to do our kitchen. It is beautiful and functional. The knocking out of the low ceiling and adding a garden window increased the size of our limited space. His team was meticulous. He coordinated well with top tile and paint people as well as top interior designers and contractors. Ours is not as high end as his truly amazing projects. His web site shows his extreme diversity in delivering what anyone wants. Besides creating projects from old world to stark modern, the exotic woods he finds for some projects makes them more extraordinary. My husband liked best that he is a problem solver, and he found ways of doing things that other woodworking companies could not handle. We later had a problem with a contractor not being able to do what we needed on an exterior project on another house, and we asked Dan for help. He quickly came up the plan that could work and was implemented. Comments about him include , "If you can dream it, he can build it."

Horrible service. I never even got a quote after 1 month of waiting, despite contacting Dan multiple times. I really hope he does not treat all of his potential customers this way.

I have been photographing Dan Luna's incredible projects for about 8 years now and am truly impressed with him and his work. He is absolutely wonderful to work with, and his clients often mention the same. He is professional yet personal, knowledgeable and dedicated to creating custom interior cabinetry that his clients are always in awe of. His quality is unsurpassed as is his attention to detail.
