Derek Fenton

We met Derek at a home show in Hartford. His personality, experience and custom craftsmanship stood out from all of the other cabinet vendors we met. After purchasing our antique home, we called Fenton Interiors to help us create the kitchen of our dreams. Derek met with us on numerous occasions and helped design a kitchen that is modern, yet fits within our 18th century home. The cabinets, drawers and center island come out excellent are so beautiful! Derek also helped us with other aspects of our complete home renovation, which included guidance on moving basement stairs to the other side of the home, swapping windows and doors to make the house look more balanced, and design of a new bathroom and pantry. We became good friends with Derek and would highly recommend him for any custom carpentry project.

Derek is a great guy who does exceptional work at a fair price. Not much else to say. I've hired Fenton Interiors to do a custom kitchen, custom vanities, custom mirror frames, coffee bar at my office and a custom bookcase. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a true craftsman who takes his time to ensure the job is done right.

We hired Finton Interiors to build our back deck for us, and we couldn't be happier!! The workmanship is beautiful!! We had a deadline, and the work was finished well within our time period. We are very happy with our deck!!

We met Derek a few years ago when he was referred to us by Mahers Paint in Avon for a painting job. Immediately upon meeting him we knew he was professional, fair and friendly. He did a wonderful job painting. Learning he was also a skilled carpenter and furniture maker, my husband contacted him to create and construct a built in desk with shelves and cabinets for our formal living room. It was better than we ever dreamed it would be. Recently, he built a custom front door that is the envy of many and is as beautiful as the built in! Derek’s work speaks for itself. I have hired Derek Fenton of Fenton Interiors, LLC for several home projects over the past 6 years. The first of which was a large home remodel wherein a one story kitchen addition from circa 1950 was replaced by a two story structure over a larger footprint. The downstairs of the two story add on is a gorgeous kitchen; the upstairs is a master bedroom, walk in closet and bathroom. Derek was able to see this project through from soup to nuts. His craftsmanship was excellent and he maintained good communication throughout the project. I also appreciated the guidance Derek provided regarding design and decoration when it came to light fixtures, etc. He has a fantastic sense of style. I hired Derek again to complete an outdoor fence with gate as well as to replace my aging front door. The original bones of my house were constructed in 1869 with green wood. As you can imagine, there is not a right angle to be found. Derek was knowledgeable about the difficulties inherent to this type of construction and was able to work around them. I highly recommend Fenton Interiors for cabinetry, built ins, and remodeling projects. Derek's customer service is excellent, his ideas are creative and budget sensitive and his craftsmanship creates home pieces you will cherish.

Derek constructed new front steps for my 100+ year old home. I LOVE my new steps. He did an awesome job. Very professional, on time for renovation, kept to the budget. Gave me fantastic ideas and variations of the steps. He did such a great job that I had him refinish my back porch with blue stone steps and railing. I'm planning on using Derek in the near future.
