We wanted a Library bookcase. This company was the best. They helped us with the size we wanted and design. We received it and we love it . We would recommend them highly. If we need another item we would definitely go with them again. We love our bookcase.

Ordered a wine cubby cabinet. The quality was poor. We waited about 7 weeks for the cabinet to arrive and paid well over $1000 for it. It’s quality was so poor we could not use it.

I ordered a small cabinet (WWC0630: Kitchen Wine Cubby Cabinet) that I needed from Highlands Designs. I made it clear right away I had to received in a week or so. They told ne they would have tried to deliver or time. I got charged right away for the cost of the cabinet and the shipping costs ($60). I got three weeks later. The quality was very bad - I can see was built in rush. Nails where too visible and protruding. The glue was poorly used, not refined - in other words not usable. I asked for refund and they refused any kind of return or partial refunds. I bought a similar cabinet on Kitchen Cabinet Kings, that is way better refined and was delivered in 5 days. My recommendation: do not buy anything on Highlands - quality of products is very poor so customer service.

I needed real wood cabinets at 32" ADA accessible height for our office. Highlands Designs is literally the only place on the planet that will build an order on-line, instantly quote the price, and offer a quality product and a reasonable cost. I found no such capability at any major cabinet supplier. I was so happy to find them, but I needed them fast. As soon as I placed the order, the service went from automated to personal. I communicated quickly by email to a real person ready to hear my needs and make things happen. They more than met my deadline at no additional cost and communicated with me about the schedule throughout the production period and shipping. I couldn't ask for better customer service. I will use them again for sure.

We had a great experience using Highland Designs to purchase all new kitchen cabinets. When we remodeled the entire main level of our house, we completely eliminated our old kitchen and created a new kitchen in a new location. I visited many showrooms to find the perfect cabinets and a designer to work with - but was very frustrated. I couldn't find the rustic hickory wood I wanted, in the right stain color to match the palomino granite we wanted, with solid construction, and at the right price. I was also frustrated with the designers, who wanted to quickly create a design and make a sale. David had the perfect cabinets at a competitive price and was far more responsive than other designers that I met. He responded to emails quickly and priced every option and layout that I wanted to consider. He also kept up the excellent customer service for months while I played around with different kitchen layout options. Working with David was much more time efficient for me than using other designers - who only seemed willing to price an option if I made an appointment on their schedule and sat there while they played with their software or looked up pricing to produce the quote. David's cabinet choices are great and his customer service is second to none.

I spent a great deal of time researching cabinet makers for a project within my new home. The quality and design capability of Arthur Brown cabinets located in New York State stood out to me. After making the decision to go with A.W. Brown, I needed to find a reputable distributor for their product. Again after much research, I contacted David Thalheimer from Highlands Designs and started the design process. David was very helpful, providing sound input to insure my project was a success. Correspondence with David was quick and extremely effective. When our design was completed, David's pricing was very competitive (lowest I found) and after my approval he immediately submitted the design to A.W. Brown for production. During the production process, David kept me informed along the way as to progress and when I could expect the shipment to arrive in Florida. The packaging of my order was phenomenal. All of the components arrived in perfect condition (6 bookcases, 1 console and 1 bookcase bridge) and installation was flawless. I will definitely contact Highlands Designs for my next project.

I ordered custom oak cabinets for a laundry/mud room addition to my home from this company last year. During the process I connected only via email with one of the salespeople. He was very helpful, prompt and knowledgeable. The transaction came off without a hitch and the cabinets arrived in the promised time. I'm a do-it-yourself homeowner. Like others who do this sort of thing the remodel was going slower than expected (life got in the way!). It was a couple months or more before I got to the installation phase. As I was putting in the cabinets I noted-- for the first time-- that one door had been assembled slightly askew. Keep in mind this was now several months after the original delivery. I wrote the gentleman and he noted how long it had been, asked why I hadn't reviewed the order immediately, and then said he'd see what he could do. Within a short amount of time they sent me a new door. I really appreciated the individual customer service they provided. I will definitely use them again. The company cared. I'm not a professional builder but they treated me like one.

When I began the process of converting a spare room into a home office I realized that in order to make the best use of the space I needed to consider purchasing custom office furniture. After reviewing several alternatives, I settled on Highland Designs. It was clearly the best decision I made during the whole project. Their furniture offerings (I chose the Arthur Brown components) had fantastic flexibility so that I could select the exact component sizes I needed and also specify between oak or maple, style of trim, and stain finish. There were many other options. For instance on hutch units I was able to add glass doors and on a couple of bookcases I substituted glass shelves for the standard wooden ones. What made the selection process work so easily was Highlands' very complete and easy to use website. Every option is described and there are many photos and drawings to help you visualize the final product. You can order samples of the various wood finishes. I did this and it helped get the exact stain I wanted. I did have a couple of questions along the way. For example with a custom corner desk unit I wanted to install a corner bridge above it that connected to two adjacent hutches. The custom dimension of the bridge was not obvious, but Highlands quickly responded to my question and confirmed with the factory the exact dimensions. Overall, I ordered 11 components. Since my office was on the second floor I also ordered white glove delivery. Highlands notified me when the order shipped and set up the white glove delivery. The furniture arrived in perfect condition. The quality of fit and finish was excellent. I live in a large city, but there is nothing available locally that could compete with Highlands custom sizing, quality and price. I am very happy with their product and support.

I wanted custom built-in bookcases / media cabinet for my living room wall. I was able to do all correspondence via email (my preferred method). The finished product was built exactly to my specifications and fits the space perfectly. I would not hesitate to order from Highlands Designs again.
