I worked with Mike from Homestead Woodworks from start to finish on my kitchen renovation project, and I can't recommend them enough! He listened to my ideas and accommodated exactly what I wanted along with his professional opinion to create custom finishes and designs. They are very friendly and also efficient in their work. I had Brandon do the installation, and he was wonderful. Very thorough and precise in his work, and again completed it very efficiently. I am very pleased with everything they have helped me out with, and look forward to working with them again in the future for any more projects!

We first heard of Homestead when a contractor we hired used their mill for our trim. We then had to contact them ourselves for more trim and at that time got taking with Dennis Weber from sales about their services. He was super friendly and passionate about their work. He referred us to Mike Eby from the design side of the house. Working closely with our designer, Mike worked on a blueprint for our living room. We wanted the design to have old world charm and quality. He was so invested in our project from the very start. What was unique is that he actually thought about details and offered expert advice instead of rushing to get the job done. When we moved to production, Mike remained involved, sometimes coming by to check on the progress just out of interest. He enjoyed our project because it was a throw-back to the past - we used solid wood for everything and incorporated details in our design. The two carpenters were equally invested. They were relentless in the pursuit of perfect and their attention to details was impeccable. The carpenters on our project had worked for Homestead for years and were true craftsmen passionate about their trade. They were very respectful of our space. In short, after years of working with many trades and several renovations, we wish we had found Homestead in the beginning - it would have saved so much money and hassle. We were so impressed by their work on our living room that we then hired them to work on our dining room as well. Our designer, Emily Wunder, who focuses on historic properties in Stratford, On is actually collaborating with Mike on a project as a result Mike’s work on our house. Great people, fair prices and remarkable work.

Homestead Woodworks built and installed a complete set of kitchen cabinetry and island with granite counter tops, and vanities with quartz tops for two bathroom renovations. We had some environmental constraints on the types of materials and coatings to be used and Homestead Woodworks worked with us to find materials that we were completely comfortable with. The quality of the construction and installation was excellent and the work areas were isolated from the rest of the house and kept very clean during installation. I highly recommend this very professional company and will use them for future projects.

We had kitchen cabinets put in 24 years ago. We found Homestead to be an extremely professional company: * as they adhered to timelines, * paid great attention to detail , quality of work and product, *everyone was extremely professional and helpful * left the jobsite very clean. Mike Eby who designed our kitchen was warm, friendly, helpful, professional and very talented. Even after 24 years, when we had a problem with a drawer slide and could not find a replacement, we contacted Mike and he gave us the needed information. He even informed us that the slide had a lifetime warranty. We contacted the firm that manufactured the slide and we had a replacement within three days, free of charge. A few weeks later Mike was in the area and arranged to drop by to see the cupboards after 24 years. While here he made some small adjustments on the drawers and cupboard doors. We worked extensively with Mike Eby and team from Homestead Woodworks on our kitchen renovation. Our project was drawn out as we completed most of the preparation ourselves. We are highly pleased with the kitchen designed, manufactured and installed by Homestead Woodworks. Following initial measurements, within a few days Mike Eby created several 3D computer designs for us to consider. The showroom contained numerous options and varied selection in everything from the cabinets to hardware to countertops. Mike worked with us each step of the way, offering guidance as to what would work best given our needs/wants. The end result is a kitchen with impressive storage space that is highly personalized and extremely functional. The actual installation was done to a high standard, with Mike performing a final inspection and scheduling needed adjustments (which were minor in nature). Creativity, Quality, Commitment. These are the words we use when asked about our experience with Homestead. We contacted Homestead because they came highly recommended by friends and family. In our initial meeting with Karen Wilson, we were impressed right off the bat. She not only looked at the physical space, she talked to us how we used our kitchen, and asked what we wanted most out of our new kitchen. We live in an older home, and we had limited storage space in the kitchen. Karen came up with three incredibly creative plans for our kitchen, all of which gave us a lot of needed storage space, and all of which we loved. Our problem then was picking one plan! During construction, everything ran smoothly. Karen provided us with a colour-coded schedule so that we could see when each trade was coming. It was obvious that Homestead has forged strong relationships with the trades that they contract, as it felt to us that each trade put our project first – arriving on the date on which they were scheduled, and arriving first thing in the morning. We are delighted with our new kitchen! It is a joy to walk in to such a bright and well-designed space, and we are very pleased with the quality of our beautiful custom kitchen cabinets. Karen and the Homestead staff demonstrated strong professionalism, attention to detail, and warmth throughout the two months of our kitchen renovation. Homestead also values strong relationships with their clients; they all were highly responsive to our needs/requests, and it was clear they want happy, satisfied customers!

Homestead did a wonderful job with the custom millwork throughout my home. As a modern minimal house, details were a very important part of the build and Homestead was able to deliver. Clare Martin and his team renovated pretty close to the entire ground floor of our home in 2014. Clare took the time to meet with us, understand the issues and devise a plan that worked for our aesthetic and what could be accomplished. This included our ideas for an appliance garage and special drying racks in laundry room. The people Clare hired and worked at our home were great individuals. Clare provided us with a timeline of how long the project would take to complete and when sub-projects would be started. It helped us get through the challenge of living through a renovation by giving us milestones to mark the journey. After 6 years everything still looks brand new and is super condition. They are not inexpensive but you get great quality, cabinets are hand made, and super attention to detail. The cabinet installer told me he loved working for Clare because the quality of his product was so high. The comments I have received from people coming to our home range from: - Wow what a difference! In some projects you wonder why they spent the money it looks the same. - What a statement your kitchen makes - it is beautiful! (contractor who came to repair water damage from skylights) - I love your granite - years after I still think of your granite. - I love your range hood over the range I would highly recommend Clare and his team to anyone interested in a home renovation.

We custom build our house 30 years ago and it was time for a major update. We had a basic idea of what we wanted and started to get proposals on new kitchen layouts When we met with Derek Shantz at Homestead Woodworks he understood exactly what we were trying to create. Derek put together a very functional kitchen layout and helped advise us on layout, finishes, countertops, and hardware. Homestead also supplied and installed a timber porch that required detailed coordination with the structure and windows. I was very impressed with the quality of workmanship and installation. I have worked with Homestead Woodworks on several interior and exterior projects over the past five years and have no hesitation recommending them for any interior or exterior project requiring custom millwork and manufactured wood products. The staff at Homestead are Artisans, capable of making beautiful things! They provide renderings and scaled drawings for any project, they work with customer budgets and timelines and are consummate professionals to work with. I worked with them on a Heritage barn rehabiitation project that took one year to complete. They supplied and or supplied and installed custom exterior barnboards to re-clad the exterior of the structure, interior v-groove shiplap, faux box beams, custom office and bathroom cabinetry, custom sliding barn doors and mounting hardware, custom carriage-style exterior doors and custom wood entry door with transom. Everything was spectactular and manufactured to my exact specifications! I also worked with them on a kitchen renovation at a designated heritage home. They provided shiplap, custom kitchen cabinetry including a 15' island, they re-purposed three antique barn beams to create a fireplace mantel, custom fridge surround, oven hood surround and carved oversized pantry doors. The team at Homestead is beyond comparison. This group of highly skilled professionals crafted spectacular kitchen cabinetry for us in 2011 so we invited them back to take on our basement in August 2019. After very cordial and extensive design discussions and the selection of style, colour and hardware, the team went to work and built the most effective space-utilization features we could have imagined. Our bookshelves, 'hidden' cold-room door and storage spaces are amazing. Top that off with recommended stainless countertop and metal cabinetry in our new art studio space and we could not be more satisfied. We recommend this company without reservation.

Have worked with homestead on several projects on the recommendation of our contractor. She was right. Derek & crew were able to meet our needs and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. All out bathrooms & the kitchen cabinetry were great but the really knocked it out out of the park this year when they replaced all the closets & cabinets in the master suite.

As the custodians of a heritage property, Bread and Roses Co-operative Homes often has difficulty finding contractors that will do a good job and keep the Heritage Committee happy. The replacement of this window required the creation of a custom design that met heritage requirements and the meticulous removal of the old window and later installation of the new one (including the use of a lift and getting a permit to block the city sidewalk). Homestead was great to work with. We would use them again.

Homestead Woodworks replaced two corinthian columns on my front porch with three beams with supports. The whole process was seamless and efficient. The initial consultation was very useful as design ideas were adapted and improved there and then. I felt very confidant going ahead. The first project we did with Homestead was a library and Master Bedroom suite. At first, we were a bit daunted by the cost, but the finished product was so beautiful we realized it was well worth it. So much so when we embarked on the project to custom build our home, we didn’t even consider any other cabinet builders. Homestead is a classic of fine workmanship married with thoughtful design. Our new kitchen works beautifully and looks stunning. My laundry room is especially satisfying with design features ranging from drying racks for delicates, hanging rods and folding counters, to a hidden kitty litter cupboard! Anything we could think of and many new ideas we hadn’t considered were incorporated into the designs. “His” kitchen is inspiring, beautiful and functional. We worked collectively – with a great deal of iteration - with Homestead and the Homestead-affiliated builder Country Lane, to come up with a stunning walnut island mirrored above by a curved dropped ceiling. The end result was all we had hoped it would be.

Mike and the Homestead team helped us design a kitchen, butler's pantry and master ensuite of our dreams. We spend a lot of time in our kitchen and are thrilled with its appearance, the quality of the cabinets and the functionality of the workspaces. Homestead was involved in our complete renovation of our 1850's century home. They designed/built our kitchen and living room 'feature wall,' and also built custom cabinets for our mudroom and bathrooms. Lastly they reclaimed floor joists and turned them into beautiful shelves - which paid homage to the old house quite nicely. The craftmanship was top notch. This is old world quality work that will last a lifetime. Jim was our contact person along every step of the way. He met with us several times, both at homestead and at our home. Little issues that came up were dealt with promptly - they weren't happy until we were 100% satisfied. 5 Stars for excellent quality paired with customer support that went above and beyond.

Once we decided to replace the kitchen in our home we walked into the Homestead showroom not knowing what exactly we wanted in a new kitchen. Derek from homestead woodworks was a joy to work with. He was professional, patient and helpful as I had an idea of what I wanted and he walked us through the rest of the details. Homestead Woodworks created a custom 60' bathroom vanity and two custom French Style doors. We sent a picture of two old window panes we wanted the doors styled after and they came out perfect, right down to the door hardware. No detail was overlooked. The vanity is stunning and exactly what we wanted. Considering the quality of workmanship put into these pieces, the pricing is very reasonable. I would recommend this company to everyone. Their natural finish is beautiful, silky smooth to the touch and easy to open and close. I just completed a full interior renovation with Homestead including completely new kitchen, baths, ensuite, laundry and closets, all new cabinets and vanities, remodeling of arch ways, some walls and ceilings, new staircase and front door, trim throughout and we could not be more pleased with the finished result. I have employed the services of Homestead Woodworks and Clare Martin in particular since 1999 when we had out kitchen re-done. We have since had Homestead involved in three bathrooms; two additions to the house that required cabinetry. One of those additions included an "alcove" master bedroom closet that is all cabinets done in walnut. The kitchen was done in 1999 and still looks like it was done last week. Their workmanship and professionalism are second to none which is why we continued to use them despite living more than 100 km from the shop.

Homestead Woodworks is staffed with high calibre craftsman - they can fix or create anything you can imagine for a project. I hired them to fabricate exterior barn board cladding for a barn conversion, interior sliding barn doors, exterior carriage doors, custom shelving, faux beams and shiplap for interior walls. Everything they made was beautiful.

We hired Homestead for a timber framing the exterior porches,beams etc. Ivan and Clare where great to work with prior to work commencing. When the crew came they were fast, professional, and had very good manners. They worked well together and they're skill sets was very impressive, they had all the equipment need for the work. They will be the one company we always use for trim and timber framing.

We worked with Homestead Woodworks in 2011/2012 as part of constructing a new Administration Office. Homestead milled large elm timbers we recovered from an old barn, into beautiful tongue and groove planks and also milled some 9" wide lumber. The lumber was jointed, milled, and shaped into a 22' long by 6' wide boat-shaped boardroom table with trestle style legs. The tongue and groove planks were used in large spaces for ceiling accent wood. The planks were jointed into large signs for the various departments, showing the wormholes and cracks with great looking black accent against the natural stain of the elm wood. Homestead also curved wood into podium for our large training room. The folks at Homestead were easy to work with and had many great suggestions to help us get to the finished product.

We worked with Mike E at Homestead Woodworks for our new build throughout the summer and fall of 2016. The process was great and the quality of the finished product is fantastic. Many people comment on our cupboards and how great they look and how solid the construction is! Even other contractors were impressed with the workmanship! They were always very professional and accommodating to meet outside of regular business hours to go over all details. They stayed within the original budget that we discussed, and made sure to document all changes so there were no surprise costs. They gave realistic advice and I never felt like they were trying to sell us on the most expensive items; they really cared about us getting the look and feel that we wanted. They were able to provide advice and help us visualize the final product before we committed to anything. They also handled change requests professionally and quickly took care of some minor install issues. From design to install, everyone was friendly and professional and it was an excellent experience overall. I would highly recommend Homestead to anyone!

Homestead Woodworks was tasked with building counters, shelves and work benches for a newly-built historic Harness Shop at Doon Heritage Village in Kitchener. The challenge was that all the cabinetry had to look new ... in the year 1914! Homestead Woodworks met the museum's challenge. They made valuable suggestions about design, construction and materials - delivering everything on time and on budget.

Homestead transformed our kitchen from Home Depot blah to simple and elegant mid-century modern that wonderfully suits our 1961 split level. They executed every requirement we had to make a stylish and, more importantly, very workable kitchen. Five years later, I didn't even consider calling someone else about some additional bookcases/shelves in the basement and living room. They, too, turned out beautifully and Homestead beat their estimate on the install date and we had them in just in time for Christmas party season.

Our overall experience was great. During construction there were a few glitches but were remedied right away. Even after job completion they we very quick to respond to little items that needed attention.

I had done a full kitchen reno with Homestead in 2009, and I could not have been more pleased. The workmanship, professionalism of their team, adherence to budgets and time frames, assistance in the choices I needed to make were all top notch. My last home also had custom furniture pieces and crown molding installed by them. In 2015 in my current home, I had them make new kitchen cupboard doors for me and assist me with new countertops. Once again, they were helpful every step of the way, adhered to budgets and time frames, and the workmanship was again beyond compare. Mike Eby was a pleasure to work with, and I would not hesitate to refer him and Homestead Woodworks for any renovation or custom furniture needs.

It all started with a concealed water pipe that had a crack...by the time it was found, there was some serious damage to a bathroom vanity, floor and ceiling in room below. We ended up taking the insurance payout to get the highest quality work we would be happy with, since what the insurance company wanted to do made no sense. We went to Homestead and started the process. Mike was interested and very knowledgeable about all the options we had with our renovation. Homestead built us a new vanity and also a walk-in closet which we had been wanting to do for quite a while. I was very impressed with the workmanship and the time it took to build the vanity and closet. They even worked on Christmas eve to get the vanity to a point that it would be usable. Mike was always reachable if I needed to have a question answered and all work was completed by or before the promised date even though it was over the Christmas holidays. I would highly recommend Homestead for any home renovation project!

Project was a new ensuite vanity and mirror with two sinks and associated plumbing. Job was done on time and within the price agreed to. Workers were very friendly. Quality and workmanship more than met our expectations which were very high. Price was reasonable. Would recommend Homestead Woodworks.

In the late Fall of 2015, we had two basements rooms renovated (guest room and bathroom). This was the fourth time we hired Homestead Woodworks. They are excellent craftsman with superior design ideas. Mike has been the front-facing designer each time and we completely trust his judgment; he listened to our wishes and adjusted the plans to meet our aesthetic and functional goals. Being a 1940 home, there were some reno challenges. Homestead ensured that the cabinetry disguised the untrue floors. The cabinetry is beautiful and functional. Over the course of our projects, Homestead has demonstrated its willingness to incorporate design features that honour the age of the house while allowing us to incorporate modern features and looks. We highly recommend Homestead Woodworks.

We are pleased with the wall entertainment unit Mike designed in consultation with us, very accommodating and easy to deal with. He also designed an excellent office layout, again being able to satisfy our requirements that were not possible with standard off the shelf units.

We worked with Homestead to design and create a beautiful custom modern oak double entry door system and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! It's so solid and it's obvious a lot of time and detail went into these beautiful doors. We also opted for long modern door handles and the finger print scanner at the front door vs a turn knob with key and love them both! Very professional and friendly people!

Wow, what a great we kitchen I have. They really aim to give you what you want. Their craftsmanship is excellent. They go over the plans with you quite a bit to make sure they're giving you exactly what you want. They didn't get frustrated when after ordering door hardware I changed my mind. The did forget a few times I requested but when I pointed it out, it got fixed straightaway. They also did a bed headboard for me , and the carpentery on it is magnificent as well as the walk-in closets. If you want first class carpentry, this is the company.

I have only the best to say about Homestead Woodworks. Their service was impeccable! Our kitchen designer spent hours helping us think through the function of the layout and the design of the finishes. He was always available for questions via email or phone and got back to me very promptly. The people who came to install our kitchen were very professional and clearly cared about their work. They made sure every door and drawer worked perfectly before they called the job complete. And even then, they will come back if I ask them to. I love my new kitchen! Our kitchen renovation project experience with Homestead has been fantastic! The sales person we met when we walked in the door (Jim) was also a kitchen designer and instantly understood the “feel” we were trying to create in our kitchen renovation. He helped us fine tune the layout and select cabinet design (style, colours, etc) to achieve what we were after. Homestead's attention to detail was phenomenal, from the initial measure through detailed design, fabrication and installation, resulting in a truly customized kitchen. A good friend of ours is a finish carpenter and confirmed our opinion that the quality of workmanship and materials was exceptional. Jim stayed involved throughout the entire project. We were impressed that he came to inspect the final installation to “make sure it met Homestead’s standards” even though we had already expressed our delight with the work. There were no commercial surprises – everything was as agreed when we started the project. Great product, great service and great price equals us as happy customers.

When building our new home, we exclusively used Homestead Woodworks for all our cabinets, library cases, credenzas, and memorabilia display units. They also custom made all our interior doors and our front door too. The decision making processes regarding types of wood, style, colour and accessories were made easy by Mike Eby, our go to guy at their place of business. There was no pressure to upgrade from a preferred choice, and the selections were endless. Custom work is their specialty, but unlike other "custom" shops, the costs were within our budget. Whatever you can dream of, they can make for you. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and our finished products are all that we wanted and more. We decided to have Homestead Woodworks design, build and install our kitchener cabinets as we felt they offered a very high quality product for a fair price. Andrew S. was our designer and he is a very talented professional who works "with" the customer. Homestead completed a full kitchen renovation, and some small items in our home office and family room. We were super impressed with their expertise and completed work; the project came in on time and on budget. We have only the highest praise for Homestead Wordworks. Their attention to detail was extraordinary. They worked with us not only on design but also on such details as species and sub-species of wood and how best to lay up the veneers for our projects. Andrew, our contact person, spent hours with us looking through veneer samples. Homestead was able to design and install a large kitchen and three bathrooms under a very tight schedule. The only piece that had to get re-worked was a warped door that they didn't manufacture. They subsequently built the cabinets for our library and theater room. As a customer we could get extravagant where we wanted to but they could be extremely budget conscious on projects where we wanted to keep costs down. They also custom built furniture for us as well as repairing some items that had been damaged during our move.

To Whom it may concern, Homestead Woodworks became involved in a major home renovation my husband and I began a few years ago at our home in Fergus ON. Andrew Searle designed all of our kitchen cabinetry, including a large island in the middle. The combination of beautiful woods chosen coordinate well to define the space. We closely collaborated over a period of time to end up with a wonderful design with lots of unique elements. Andrew liked to leave his own unique "stamp" on each client's space, and for us the island has since received lots of complements from visitors to our home! We were introduced to Ivan Gascho, also from Homestead, who custom designed a beautiful back door to our deck, maintaining the integrity of the kitchen space and keeping in mind the existing features of our window design, so that all would flow nicely. The glass in the door and invisible screen allows for great views outdoors. He also provided us with a black railing and gate leading to our basement staircase. Ivan was asked to stay on with our house project when our other outside contractor stepped out. Ivan brought in all the necessary resources from his team through Homestead (Peter, electricians, painter etc.) and also worked with local specialists of our own choosing, so that our extensive multi-faceted project could be brought to completion. Ivan provided us with his own advice that we sought, and valuable hands-on talent and expertise. We had an issue with our stove (from an outside company) and Ivan was able to successfully facilitate the parties involved to improve on this situation, to advocate for us as the customer, and to bring our new stove up to safety code. The men from Homestead were always respectful, polite, patient, and acted very professionally keeping to the high standards that Homestead represents. They really listened to us as their clients, and to their best to follow through with our wishes. We have been very happy with the overall outcome, and have been greatly enjoying our living space. Homestead provided us with a range of design options for our kitchen makeover. They offered us design ideas that other vendors lacked the creativity to propose. Not only did they create a new kitchen idea for us, but also transformed our family room with new free standing cabinets and work desk area. All components of this transformation were well constructed, using full face frame construction methods. This approach requires much greater accuracy than typical surface mounted cabinet doors. They also went out of their way to find the ideal countertop supplier after some refused to work within the tight installation specifications of the appliances that we selected. Follow up service was excellent, with quick response to any questions or requests that we had regarding fine tuning and adjustments to all aspects of the project. They worked well with our construction contractor and designer and met all their promised scheduled dates in spite of the inevitable complexities that arise in a project like this. We would be happy to have Homestead work any future projects we may have and would recommend them highly.

In July 2013, we purchased a condo bungalow in Cambridge which required extensive renovations which included a brand new kitchen design. Our designer recommended we visit Homestead for the kitchen and we visited the showroom in Hawkesville and met Andrew Searle. From the outset, we were impressed with Andrew's ability to understand what we (the designer, my wife and I) wanted in our kitchen. He was able to produce sketches showing us what we were getting, to show us sample materials and when asked to show us less expensive options, he did so quickly and revised his sketches. He even toured us around the factory to demonstrate the quality of workmanship Homestead puts in to their products. Once construction started, Andrew coordinated his crew's work with our designer and our contractor and visited us from time to time to see that the project was on track. Some minor flaws in a couple of cabinet doors were noticed by the Homestead installers (not us) and the doors were taken away and fixed. The end product....spectacular! The kitchen is a showpiece. My wife has the kitchen she has always wanted. Andrew Searle and Homestead did an outstanding job. We are happy customers.

We found Andrew Searle at Homestead Woodworks (Hawkesville, Ontario) 2 years ago and requested a design and quote for a full renovation of our kitchen. We had another contractor open up our main floor to expand our kitchen to take over the formal dining room. Andrew provided a quote in 3 days with full drawings of all the cupboards, everything numbered and very detailed. He had 3 price ranges of which all were beautiful and never made us feel that we would be doing the wrong thing if we picked the cheapest product. We had tried several other cabinet companies before this and were not finding what we wanted in style and cost. WOW!! Andrew had listened very well and designed for us the kitchen of our dreams! Homestead Woodworks employees were meticulous in the details and everything was perfect. In the past we found it necessary to check contractors' work and ask them to make changes due to errors on their part or a lack of quality in workmanship or products. Homestead's work was so good that we never had to ask for anything to be improved, and we had very high expectations. Homestead was recommended by our interior designer. They provided numerous, viable, quality cabinetwork options for our kitchen and suggested materials and colour choices that we hadn't imagined. Staff were friendly, helpful and answered all our questions. The installers were careful to not damage any of our finishes, worked alongside our plumber, electrician and appliances supplier to ensure coordination of all aspects of the project. Issues that arose during and after the installation were resolved quickly and to our satisfaction.

Our Scandinavian kitchen of 25 yrs. was worn and dated. Wanted a design more fitting to the colonial nature of our home. The colonial design of cupboards, mouldings and colour choices resulted in an efficient kitchen blending with the rest of the home.. The project was completed on time, a critical issue to accommodate a planned backyard wedding and within budget, a bonus in that such projects often and easily run over. The kitchen functions and looks as good as the day it was installed is a testament to the craftsmanship and expert installation provided by Homestead. We hired Homestead Woodworks to build a large designer kitchen with matching table, a fireplace/tv wall unit, 3 bathroom vanities, a dining room wall unit with matching large harvest table, and laundry cabinets. All of our pieces are of excellent quality and still look brand new after 7 years of use. They provided excellent service right from the initial consultation to the final installation. They were a great company to deal with and helped to make our new home build a positive experience.

We enjoyed working with Derek at Homestead Woodworks in the design of our bathroom vanity and storage cabinet. Derek listened to our ideas, gave great suggestions and thought of fine details we might have missed. The quality of the finished pieces is excellent. The price of these custom pieces was only somewhat higher than we might have paid for ready made pieces with a much better outcome.

Homestead was responsible for trim,flooring, kitchen cabinets, interior doors, front entry door , beams and 2 porticos in my home renovation. Although their price point may leave one staggering, their workmanship and professionalism is second to none. They come highly recommended in my opinion.

We did a complete main floor renovation in our century stone house. A design consultant was hired for the renovation. She recommended Homestead Woodworks for our Kitchen Cabinet design, build and installation. Clare from Homestead asked us to consider how we would use the Kitchen and the location for all our main kitchen items and how they would be used and stored. Homestead then provided a preliminary drawing based on our discussion. This drawing was refined further after discussing our ideas. The timelines were met at every stage which helped in facilitating all the trades involved in the renovation. One of the benefits of working with Homestead was any minor changes we felt were necessary during the installation were accommodated by a call to their facilities. Clare was very available for consultations during all stages of the kitchen. Minor modifications did not cause delays in the installation of the cabinets as they were incorporated as the installation progressed. My husband and I have used Homestead Woodworks in the past and didn't hesitate to call them for our latest project. Being a century home, we had many issues to deal with especially floors, walls and doorways that were not level. We also knew we had to do a complete tear out to update insulation and electrical but thought we would lose all of the charm of the original home. Homestead was able to recreate the original moldings and trim to keep the house traditional with all of the country charm that we love. They built custom cabinetry for storage, refinished the original staircase and provided interior doors and trim for the entire house. Everything looks spectacular especially the sliding barn style doors which are my favorite. Right from initial discussions through design and install everything is very professional. The install work is exceptional with much attention given to detail. With Homestead you very much get what you pay for and it shows in the quality and value of your home. When it is time for the next phase, we will definitely be calling them to renovate our kitchen.

We have hired Homestead Woodworks of Hawkesville, for various projects over the last 20 years for both our home and office building. Our recent project was to renovate our mudroom and adjacent bathroom. They replaced the standard drywall closet with floor to ceiling stylish cabinetry including a space for a built-in stackable washer and dryer. We wanted a full size washer dryer but didn't want to lose any space in the mudroom. They proposed we build into the adjoining garage therefore allowing the cabinets to be flush with the closet allowing us to retain the original space. We really needed some additional storage space on the main floor, a unique cabinet with shelves and drawers was designed and built over the basement stairs. We did not want to lose any height over the stairs, the designer was very empathetic to our concerns and created a design we were all happy with. The bathroom is a showpiece for guests as well as practical for daily use. Floor to ceiling cabinetry was built into the continuing wall from the mudroom giving additional storage which was requested. The vanity and mirror was built out of solid Walnut with a leathered granite top and copper sink. Beautiful! The shower is an elegant neo-angle shower, granite on the two exterior walls with floor to ceiling glass on the other three. Spectacular! Both rooms were trimmed in solid wood, high baseboard, wide trim and doors. A new heated tile floor was also installed. Our finished room in the basement required a "facelift" and "updating". Homestead removed the stucco ceiling and beams, which allowed us to have additional lighting installed in the ceiling along with ceiling speakers. A drywall ceiling was installed and painted which opened up the room appearing larger. They replaced three existing doors with solid rustic cherry doors with substantial looking hardware. One of the doors was on our wish list, a sliding door that you would find in a barn or a castle. It was mounted on a sliding metal casing that was painted black. Absolutely stunning! The room is now bright, inviting and current without starting from scratch. We are very happy! The company of Homestead Woodworks is a pleasure to deal with. They are innovative in their designs, have a solution to any need and provide only quality workmanship. The carpenters/installers and sub-trades are a pleasure to have in your home, they are polite, honest and trustworthy and arrive on the dates specified. Each project we have entered into with Homestead Woodworks has been rewarding.

Mike and his team did a great job in building and installing our cabinets. There was a lot of choice in style, finish and hardware. We found exactly what we wanted and our cabinets and kitchen are perfect. It was interesting to see the on-site workshop and the care that went into the finished product.

Our project started September 9th 2013 just as promised and your main involvement was completed about one week ahead of schedule. We started the process of getting an estimate and a plan for our kitchen early February. The first plan wasn't what we were looking for. We knew that friends had completed a kitchen with you not so long ago and thought we would get Homestead to draw up a plan and quote. Jim McKinley did a wonderful job listening to our ideas and needs. Within the very first visit he had a design in mind. Jim was very easy to work with. He is knowledgable, has good ideas and is open to suggestions. He gave us plenty of time to make decisions and provided a time line for when we needed to have various items purchased. We would highly recommend Homestead to our family and friends. Jim was by the other day to complete some work on the cupboards and gave us a wooden cutting board. Thank you for this gift! We hired Homestead Woodworks to replace our front exterior door. From our first meeting with Ivan he was able to help us capture a vision for the door and advised us on everything from hardware to finish. We are in the final stages of a complete renovation (gutted) of a 60's bungalow. Homestead was our choice for floor, interior trim, interior doors, front door and garage door, and stairs, as well as some spectacular sliding barn doors in our master bedroom. I would not hesitate to recommend Homestead. Truly some of the most beautiful work I have ever seen. This company understood my design aesthetic, what i like to call "modern organic"; they're great at really listening and making your design wishes come true. Their craftsman show up when they say they will, and finish each stage of the process on time. You know you've made the right choice when the plumbers, electricians, drywallers and tilers make a point to tell you how beautiful your new floors, doors, heck even the baseboards are! We just built a new home, and Homestead Woodworks did all our trim work and supplied us with our interior doors. They did a fantastic job all around! All the window and door trim was done with skill and precision - the final look was amazing. The 8’ mahogany doors that they produced and stained for us are stunning pieces of décor to our home. Everyone that sees them, remarks on their magnificence. Homestead’s employees were polite, professional, and tidy, something you don’t find often. We were more than happy with their work and pricing. We would highly recommend them, and if we ever needed more woodwork done, they would be our first choice.

I had Homestead design and eventually build me a New Front Door . The drawings / design process was exciting and very thorough . The door was an expensive project that in the first year , I just felt I couldn't afford or justify . A year later , Homestead was still there and ready to reopen and review my project . Homestead were patient and personal in their approach , I ultimately found I just had to have - " That Door " .....it is a defining feature to my home and the quality of the product , and the installation make me wonder why , I even hesitated .

This past summer, Homestead built and wood counter top and antique door for my wine cellar. They took the time to meet with us and completely understand what we were trying to achieve with the look and feel of our wine cellar. The staff had several suggestions for us to consider based on our initial meeting and took the time to follow up with samples.
