Idler's Home Cabinetry and Design

I want to thank RL Sendra at Idlers Home Cabinetry and Design for his exemplary design and customer service. In simple terms, he gave me my dream kitchen. I came back from vacation to a flood kitchen and had to learn to navigate with insurance, mortgage, restoration companies. Sendra was patient and responsive during my restoration that resulted with the modern kitchen that I always wanted. I highly recommend RL Sendra for your kitchen design.

Sendra at Idler's was and is Fantastic to work with. He listened to everything we had to say. And with his experience, asked detailed questions to make sure we thought of all the details. He came up with drawing that together we worked on to make them work for our needs. He had so many samples for us to look at to give a choice of what we really wanted and liked. When it came to installation, it was seamless. I would highly recommend Idler's and Sandra. We could not be happier with our kitchen!

When I decided to remodel my kitchen I chose Idler's Home in San Luis Obispo. I knew I would have an excellent selection of quality products for both appliances and cabinetry. What I didn't realize was that I would have such professional assistance in the design department. When I began the process of choosing cabinetry and design for my kitchen and met with Sendra, I had a specific idea for the design. He gave me suggestions and choices and when I finally decided on the cabinetry it was outside my comfort zone. His attention to detail, thoroughness in the design and expertise made the process run smoothly. When the contractor and his crew came on site, they were able to install the cabinetry in a limited amount of time. He made suggestions and worked with me on my suggestions and when the project was completed, we were both pleased with the results. I wanted a clean low maintenance kitchen that also looked good and it is amazing. I would recommend Idler's Home and Sendra for any kitchen project.

i was very hesitant to take on a kitchen remodel but was pleasantly surprised to one day stop into Idler's to look around and found the kitchen design staff to be so informative and reassuring to me. My kitchen designer assisted throughout the process giving me expert guidance, helping to stay on budget and timeline while respecting my decisions. He was in contact with me very step of the way and always available to answer my many questions. My kitchen turned out more spectacular than I imagined and I couldn't be happier with the results. I can't imagine taking on this project without a kitchen designer and I highly recommend Idler's to anyone who wants a professional to help make their dream kitchen come true.

We had a great experience with Idlers for our kitchen remodel. Sendra was a pleasure to work with and helped us achieve the clean and modern space we were looking for at the price we were looking for. The Belmont cabinets we chose were installed 2 years ago and are holding up beautifully. I would recommend Idlers to anyone asking and I'd use them again.

Idler's did a great job helping me with the design and remodeling of a kitchen badly in need of updating. Sendra on the kitchen design team, and Victoria in Appliances, worked together and with me to pull it all together. Sendra went above and beyond on the design side, making suggestions I never would have thought of but that worked beautifully, and incorporating other ideas of mine that complicated matters but helped get the finished result that I am so pleased with. Sendra wasn't afraid to push back when an idea of mine was problematic - and he would tell me why, and make alternative suggestions that worked so much better. It was definitely a team effort, and both Sendra and Victoria were true professionals (and very patient with me!) throughout.

I wanted to put in a small bar/kitchenette in my addition. It is a small space and there is existing elements that I wanted to incorporate into the design. Sendra was instrumental in helping me find the perfect cabinetry and hardware for my project. Everyone who sees it says it turned out beautifully.

Sendra did a wonderful job helping plan cabinets for a kitchen and laundry room project I was working on. His experience was extremely helpful in the layout of the projects and he was a great problem solver when glitches came up. I would recommend Idlers and Sendra for your next project.

Chris Smith in the design center at Idler's San Luis Obispo was terrific! Most importantly for us, Chris showed us exactly how the choices we made function in the space. He knows cabinets so well! If there was an issue with one of our ideas, he was frank and would say why another choice might make us happier in the long run. We love our new kitchen! We recently remodeled 2 bathrooms in our house and decided to use Chris Smith at Idler's in San Luis Obispo. Chris was great to work with every step of the way from the design process of the cabinets and countertops and to suggest a general contractor and after the installation. Idler's has always given great customer service. We have bought all of our appliances through them also. A large concern we had was who to use for a general contractor. We felt like what is the point of doing a remodel if the contractor does a bad job. Chris suggested Mike from Central Coast General Construction and we are very happy with the work they did. Cesar Ramirez did an amazing job on the tile and was very pleasant to work with. Remodeling can be a stressful process but we feel that our remodel went very smoothly and turned out great. You just need to be patient because it seems to always take more time than you originally thought but with a good crew it will be worth the wait.

Chris Smith completely changed our kitchen! He was incredibly helpful as well as knowledgeable. He coordinated the sub-contractors, and picked very professional and competent people. Mike Shackleford oversaw the remodel and brought in the tile and counter top subs, who were also extremely competent and dedicated to doing a "perfect" job. The man who laid the floor and the back splash tiles,Cesar. was in every way a "professional" who took immense pride in his work. As a result, everything looks "perfect." Chris, himself, is the consummate "pro." We felt like he truly cared about our remodel and was on scene frequently to gauge progress. We are obviously very pleased that we chose Idlers over others. We will certainly recommend them, and Chris, to anyone who asks.

Chris Smith, our Idler's kitchen designer was excellent. Chris was patient and knowledgeable and there was no pressure applied to us in the long process of deciding what cabinets to select. We have lived with the design now for 9 months and his design remedied a flow problem we had. We love the quality, looks and function of our new Dynasty Omega cabinets in pearl white finish. Renner doors were selected. I suggest homeowners interview the installers Idler's hires to install your cabinets to make sure you click. We did not care for the installer crew. Ultimately though, the kitchen turned out great!
