Kitchens of the South

Building a new home came with hundreds of decisions, but Kitchen’s of the South made many of them enjoyable for us. Brodie helped initially with the design process on the cabinets in our kitchen, our pantry and laundry. He took time in providing us with answers to our questions regarding wood, stain, trim, hardware, and interior cabinet and drawer options. During the build process we also met Bill who installed our cabinets. And, after settling into our new home, Kevin Smith, the owner, came and provided additional information. Needless to say, we wholeheartedly endorse Kitchens of the South, the expert team and excellent products.

Kevin Smith helped us with kitchens for two houses, doing an amazing job, standing behind the product and ensuring we were happy with the job. He is a good person, one you can trust.

We started working with Brodie last summer on design ideas for our kitchen reno project. Between visits to the showroom and to our home we came up with a plan that updated our kitchen, improved its functionality, and introduced us to some new ideas. Although our project was delayed (appliances have been very slow due to production/transport issues), Brodie and his team were flexible on their end. When a "window" opened up to start our demolition, Brodie was able to get his team out to our home for the cabinet installation. The guys did a great job...friendly, professional, punctual, helpful, and conscientious. We greatly appreciated their focus on details. Our kitchen is 95% done...still waiting for the dishwasher and oven (!)...but it looks great. We love our choice of cabinets, the hardware, the ratio of drawers and cabinets. My personal favorites: dish/plate drawers in the island close to the dishwasher and the up & down lighting. Thank you for your part in our project.

Kevin and his team did a great job from start to finish. He did a great job communicating during the design process and always turned concept drawings back to me quickly and accurately. His team was very clean and professional throughout both phases of the remodel and the quality of the installation was second to none. I would recommend Kitchens of the South for any size cabinetry job with hesitation.

Kitchens of the South is absolutely extraordinary in their knowledge, professionalism and friendliness . I worked with both Brodie and Kevin and their staff and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of my new kitchen. It's about 2 months since it was completed and I'm "still over the moon" with the way it looks. Their advice and suggestions were invaluable. I have recommended them on numerous occasions and if you are looking for a place to go to for kitchen remodeling, this is the only place you need to go.

We are thrilled with our new kitchen! Kevin and his team at Kitchens of the South are the best. We fully gutted the kitchen in our 20 year old home and started from scratch. Kevin was with us every step of the way. He listened to our ideas and offered suggestions that would maximize storage and modernize the space. His final design was everything we were looking for. We were impressed with the quality of the cabinetry, hardware, countertops and lighting he helped us pick out. He was also there to help us coordinate flooring, sink and backsplash choices with the cabinetry. Bill, the primary cabinetry installer, is highly skilled and detail oriented. He is a master at his craft. Kevin recommended a good general contractor who managed the demolition and the installation of tile flooring, backsplash, overhead lighting, plumbing, electrical, painting and finishing. From start to finish Kevin was always available to discuss the progress of our project. He is highly committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. We highly recommend the professionals at Kitchens of the South!

Our design firm recently began working with Kitchens of the South. We are working on our first installation now and have three more large projects in the works. Listen to me now...and hear me later: Do not hire anyone other than Kitchens Of The South. This would be my fervent advice to anyone looking for a kitchen designer in the western North Carolina/Greenville, SC area. My husband and I were beyond pleased with Kevin and the entire team he brought to our kitchen remodel project. ...Having not yet even purchased our home, I walked into the showroom off the street, knowing nothing about Kevin. He immediately greeted me...looked at the inspiration photos on my phone...and happily began showing me cabinet and countertop samples. I immediately thought, “This guy knows what he’s doing.” And...equally as important...he’s that guy you feel like you’ve known forever. ...I told my husband when I got back to our B&B, "If we get that house, I've found our kitchen designer." --A few months later, I called Kevin...reintroduced myself...and within minutes we had an appointment on the books. As an "armchair" designer, myself, Kevin took my very (bold, italicized, underlined ;-))specific desires, and turned them into a reality. Throughout the entire process — from dreaming and designing — to installation, Kevin was genuinely excited and interested in every single aspect of the job, and proactively kept us in the loop with each detail. I knew from day one that we could trust Kevin. When my husband met him, he told me “You picked the right guy.” ...Being completely new to the area, we blindly followed Kevin's lead on a contractor (who was absolutely phenomenal), and their teamwork eliminated any worry on our part. And, when it came time for the cabinet and counter installs, we were not at all surprised by Kevin's team. His cabinet installers are like a teacher's favorite students...incredibly quiet, yet always “on-task” workers, who respectfully attend to every detail, and leave their working space exceptionally organized and clean for the following day. Kevin is also very hands-on himself, and can install with the best of them...proving he knows kitchens from the ground up. Kevin's counter installer is nothing short of a class act, has the utmost pride in his work, and who — like Kevin — is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. In effect...you're only as good as the people who work for you, and there was not one single day Kevin's team didn't finish up, that we'd say, "These are such good guys." We went to bed each night knowing anyone who came through our door to work on our kitchen was treating our home as if it was their own. Needless to say...this was priceless. We know we hit the jackpot with Kevin and Kitchens Of The South. You will too. JM & SG
