Knoppe Cabinet Refinishing

We had Knoppe paint our kitchen cabinets and island in our new house. It was our best decisions in the remodeling our home. Jon and Bonnie were very responsive and professional. They look amazing!!

Jon, Casey and Joe are a great team. Jon took all door fronts and cabin doors back to his shop and painted them while Casey and Joe painted the cabinets in place. Absolutely an incredible job. The painted surfaces are as smooth as glass. All work done on schedule as promised. They left the job site as clean as they found it. Jon told us the cabinets would be like new, THEY ARE. They are perfect. Anyone considering painting cabinets instead of replacing then should contact Knoppe Cabinet Refinishing. If your cabinets are in good shape don’t replace them, have Knoppe Cabinet Refinishing paint them.

We just had all our oak kitchen cabinets refinished by Jon and his crew. His knowledge of wood finishing is great and he recommended a satin finish that was a premium, but would withstand the damage that a kitchen cabinet gets in normal use (one photo attached). His professionalism was outstanding and work quality was beyond comprehension. In the process of refinishing, he found some cracked wood and repaired it prior to refinishing. He met all of our timing and maintained the price quoted originally. The cabinets are better than new and we are planning some more work for Jon in the near future. We would highly recommend Jon for any refinishing work.

John is a professional! First, he was very responsive when I first contacted him months before we wanted to begin our master bathroom remodeling project. He gave me an estimate (and stuck to it!) and defined the best process to complete the work (in my case it was better to refinish the cabinets after the granite was installed). We were free to select any color - so this simplified our design/color coordination process. The workmanship was great. The doors are finished outside of your home and they return to complete the frames. He did warn me that the smell would be bad for a day (it was) when the frame painting was completed. I was highly recommend this company. These cabinets look totally new and we saved a ton of money and got the exact color we wanted. If we did not refinish the cabinets, this bathroom remodel would not have been completed - new cabinets were not in the budget. This was a fraction of the cost of new and look like new. I have attached a couple before and after photos so you can see the difference! If you need cabinets refinished - this is the company!

I love Jon Knoppe's work! I hired him originally to paint my kitchen cabinets, but was so impressed I subsequently had him paint my exterior trim, my natural rough-sawed cedar sunroom (huge job!--and he returned several times until I was completely satisfied.), refinish furniture in my kitchen and family room, had him paint my impossible foyer and woodwork throughout the house. His workmanship, timeliness, attention to detail, communication with the client, and prep work are impeccable. In addition, he was extremely generous in giving me guidance when I wanted to do some of the painting myself. I have recommended him to friends, and they are all similarly impressed.

We had oak cabinets that were very dated looking. John Knoppe took the cabinet doors to his cabinet shop, painted the cabinets and then added a glaze. They now look like hand crafted new cabinetry. It has been over a year and we have had no chipping and they still look like new. His workmanship is exceptional. He restrained a lot of the woodwork in our house and again the workmanship was exceptional. We also had him paint the entire house inside and out and he made our 35 year old house look like new construction. He was easy to work with and true professional.

We contracted Jon to restain our cabinets in various rooms in a house we had just bought. The old cabinets were nice but we wanted a darker cherry finish. Jon was not the cheapest quote but he seemed the most competent and we are very pleased with the end result. Jon worked with us to find the exact shade we wanted and the end result is even better than we had hoped for! The cabinets now look much better than they ever did and are the highlight of the house. We were using multiple contractors to renovate the house before moving in and Jon was the easiest/most professional to work with. Once we finalized the color, he completed the rest of the project with no effort/monitoring needed on our part. I can be a bit of a perfectionist but with Jon, there was no need for any follow up. Everything was completed just right. We would not hesitate to use Jon for any future restaining work. PS: Jon also helped with our wall paint color selection based on his painting experience. That help was really appreciated!
