Mike designed, built and installed 2 areas of cabinetry - a bar center to include our wine refrigerator and a buffet cabinet with upper cabinets. They are beautiful and exactly what we wanted! Working with Mike from start to finish was easy and enjoyable. His craftsmanship is outstanding with remarkable attention to details. His installer, Dave, did a fantastic job with precision on installation and work area cleanliness. I would highly recommend Mike and his team!

Mike was very helpful in achieving my goal in creating an elegant mantle and kitchen hutch. He worked with the existing design in my home and worked in a timely manner. He was also able to accommodate some last minute changes on my part.

We have used Mike for a few different projects from large to small. He did our kitchen remodel as well as he custom built 2 built in pieces for us. Finally he "refreshed" an old wood kitchen table of ours into a beautiful hip "new" one. Mike worked with us to build the kitchen of our dreams within our budget as we were doing a whole house renovation at the same time. We then hired him to build 2 large custom builtins. One is around our wall hung TV in our family room and the other set are a set of builtin bookshelves and cabinets on either side of our period detail archway in our living room. Lastly, he "rehabbed" our kitchen table beautifully. He came in on budget and on time on all projects and has been a pleasure to work with. More importantly, the final products have all been top notch quality.

Mike made cabinets for us when we built our home in 2005. He did a wonderful job. He has a great eye for knowing what will work in a space. He listened to what we wanted, made sure we were happy with the drawings, woods and functions. Everything was perfect. We used him again this winter to build some additional cabinets and a coffee table. He is honest, hard working and cares about his product and his client. I would recommend him for any wood working project.

Mike has helped us with several projects in our home. We remodeled our kitchen complete with a beautiful new fireplace surround and large range hood. It turned out beyond our expectations. We also had Mike build a new wall application in our family room for a new TV which includes wall panels. It blends into the existing wood trim perfectly and looks original to the house.We also had Mike build organization systems in two walk in closets.They are beautiful and function perfectly. The last project was a pedestal for a sculpture. Mike and I worked on the design together and it turned out exactly as we had envisioned. We already have future projects in mind to work on with Mike.

As a custom home builder and general contractor, I demand a great deal from my top subcontractors. Mike Martin is a true craftsman in every sense of the word. Last year our company was hired for a large scale high end renovation in Avon,CT. After meeting with Mike and reviewing the scope of the project, I hired MJ Martin to design and build all of the cabinetry for the kitchen and master bathroom. This was a very technical project and Mike's finished product was outstanding. With the help of MJ Martin Woodworking, were awarded "Best Bathroom Remodel" & "Best Kitchen Remodel over $100k" by the Connecticut Homebuilders Assoc in 2012. From built in cabinetry to custom mantles, custom closets to custom kitchens, MJ Martin can build anything and exceed expectations while helping to stick to your budget.

If you want your project done on time, on budget and to perfection then I suggest you hire M J Martin Woodworking. Mike accepts nothing less than perfect in his projects and left this customer completely satisfied. Our project arrived and was installed to our satisfaction, but not to Mike's and when he insisted on repairing some imperfections that we could not see, I fully expected a request for some additional compensation, but Mike held to his original estimate. It is without reservation that I recommend him.

Custom Cabinets. Mike built an amazing custom wardrobe for our bedroom and it is just beautiful. Mike was so easy to work with and designed the unit to meet our storage and design needs all within our budget. We are now contemplating having a Entertainment Center w/ Shelving built to house our TV and electronics in our family room. Custom pieces are fairly expensive, but they add so much value to the home and solve so many storage and design issues. We are very happy with the results.
