Orrin is absolutely fantastic to work with. He recently finished completely renovating our basement (including full bathroom) and a larger upstairs bathroom that he helped us figure out how reconfigure to best meet our family’s needs. All of his work is top notch, with thoughtful attention to all details. Custom cabinets in the bathrooms are beautiful and both spaces are beyond our expectations. Can’t recommend him highly enough!

I should’ve written this awhile ago, but - better late than never! I had Orrin install a custom window seat in my townhome a couple of years back (2023). I had 2 “contractors” come and give me estimates prior to calling Orrin. I knew a true craftsman/carpenter like Orrin would be my best bet, but I wanted to get several estimates. When Orrin arrived he looked at the space and asked me what my vision was. I showed him some photos of how I imagined it looking and he was very honest with me about everything up front. He had ideas I didn’t think of, such as matching the trim of the storage cabinets and wall panels to the ones I had already existing in my home. He was meticulous and I immediately knew he was the guy for the job. Orrin is a woodworker and a craftsman. He is a complete professional though and through. He is talented beyond words, and though my project was small, he gave it the utmost attention and care to the details. I am so extremely happy with the window seat, and it just adds so much more to my space than the strange, pointless “bump out” I had to stare at every day. Everything is just perfect, and the extra storage space is amazing! He even added a light fixture and did the electrical work as well. I cannot recommend Orrin enough. I would absolutely hire him again to do ANY future project - I only wish I had one at the moment! Mr Macik did a fabulous job on our built in kitchen cabinet repair. He was very professional on the telephone and very accommodating under the circumstances. He did an excellent job refurbishing our built-in broken cabinet to accommodate our new oven. Excellent work and excellent results! Thank you!

Macik Custom Woodworking recently completed a wainscoting project for the wall that surrounds my new standalone bathtub. We recently hired Macik Custom Woodworking & Contracting Company to help with our kitchen island. We have a new home & the wood on the backside of our island wasn’t completely correctly when installed. It was very noticeable when the sun shined through the picture windows & ascetically didn’t look very good. After calling Orrin & submitting pictures, he agreed to help me. They came to my home & took the backside of the island. The plan was to create and replace this piece of wood but they ended up doing much more by refinishing the original piece. We recently had the pleasure of having Orrin complete a long anticipated project in our home. I showed Orrin 2-3 inspiration pictures of some custom trim work I had wanted throughout the entryway and stairwell of my home. From just those few picture he was able to execute my vision perfectly! Orrin built an amazing dining room table from a walnut tree on my property. He handled everything from the point the tree was dropped off at his place including milling the log to kiln drying. I wanted a country style table and described what I had in mind and the drawing he submitted as his design matched my wishes perfectly. I gave it as a 30th anniversary gift to my wife and she was thrilled. Happy wife happy life. Very attractive and built like a tank solid construction too.

The Macik team custom built our entire dining room set. To say I am obsessed with the finished product is an understatement! It's been 6 months since our live edge table was completed and I am STILL hesitant to eat on it; it feels more like a piece of art than a functional dining room table. As much as I love the table, the shelving unit is my favorite piece. I can make the room look different every few months depending on how I decorate the shelves. The process was simple. We came prepared to them with concept ideas and story boards. They executed our vision to perfection and guided us the entire way. I thought my husband was meticulous but Orrin and his team give him a run for his money. They are extremely detail oriented, offer suggestions when asked, solutions when needed and easy to work with.
