The price was reasonable and they followed through on every promise. He went above and beyond to be helpful. The kitchen looks amazing, the work was done beautifully and they left it clean and sparkling. We love our kitchen now! It was great to get everything done from one place. Absolutely no problems at all. They ripped out the old kitchen and installed brand a brand new one. Good quality materials. More expensive than I had anticipated but your paying for quality, workmanship and attention to detail.

Betty, Scott, Eric, and their crew did a wonderful redesign and reface of our kitchen. Their craftsman did beautiful work on the tile walls and quartz counter tops. And as with any project, where there has been a small problem, they have had excellent follow through. We love walking into our kitchen.

Marin Kitchen Works remodeled a one bedroom condo in central Marin. The original condition was poor at best. The contractor had no trouble climbing around the ceiling, examining the entire space, coming up with excellent drawings, giving us a very accurate estimate, getting permits etc. Most importantly, the workmanship was excellent. The people at Marin Kitchen Works are so enjoyable to work with and know their business, from helping design the kitchen or bath remodel that not only fits your space restrictions and meets your budget while accomplishing your dream to the on-time completion of all the work. While performing the work, they are extra careful to keep the mess to a minimum and the quality of their work is exceptional. In addition, their crew is so personable that you look forward to their just being their. You can trust them. And the completed work brings nothing but compliments and praise from your friends and neighbors. Later, should anything go wrong, they are johnny-on-the-spot with repairs, without any additional cost to you. It was no wonder that after the superb remodel of our kitchen that we had them back several years later to remodel two baths and two bedrooms. The master bath is now what one would expect to find in any five star hotel.

We had Marin Kitchen Works remodel our kitchen with resale in mind. From design to the final install including coming back to repair a cabinet panel we damaged, they were top notch. They were extremely professional, flexible, knowledgeable in the design area as well as in the install. It was apparent they had a wealth of experience as there was no challenge that they couldn't handle. Even when they referred us to other contractors out side of their scope of work, those professionals were also top in their fields. I wouldn't hesitate working with Marin Kitchen Works again and have recommended them may times.

MKW did a complete master bath renovation. They took the walls down to the studs, replaced flooring, re-did shower stall, added free standing tub and filler, new counters and sinks and faucets etc, their contractors were excellent and very nice to work with. Betty Sandborg worked with me on the complete design and managed the entire project. I was very pleased with the final result. They did a great job.

We hired Betty to update our Eichler Kitchen- removing an unfortunate wall addition, building a new island and reskinning some existing cabinets. Betty has an excellent eye for colors and materials and she stocks everything in the show room. We were able to take samples and spend lots of time looking at them in different lighting conditions. Betty received some new cabinet fronts after we had finished our design but before construction. She called us and said she thought they would fit our design better and she was right. Betty and Scott worked together to solve some of our design dilemmas with creativity took pride in their work and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day. They even made sure out dog did not get loose in the construction commotion. The flooring, backsplash and countertop sub-contractors that she recommended were all top notch. We love our new light filled kitchen with its harmonious materials and colors- thanks to the great people at Marin Kitchen works.

Marin Kitchen Work is a wonderful company to work with. This is my second kitchen remodel project in 18 years where I have used their services. I highly recommend them, in fact Betty and Scott and most of their team did both of my kitchens, so the consistency and quality of their work speaks for itself. Marin Kitchen Works completely remodeled our very old, dilapidated and small master bath starting from scratch. They moved the shower from one side of the room to the other, installed heated flooring, put in new lighting, ceiling fan,window, tiling, etc. We found them to be very professional, experienced, and easy to work with. The design team was great with wonderful ideas for color, texture and style. They were very reliable and responsible with great knowledge of permit requirements.

Marin Kitchen Works did a facelift to our kitchen/family room Feb - July 2014. They painted the cabinets, put on new doors and hardware, moved the microwave to the island, installed a range hood, new sinks, faucets, granite counters, lighting, etc. The subcontractors they used were all perfectionists, from dry wall to tile and wood floors. We were pleased with their work and their receptivity to changes.

Marin Kitchen Works remodeled our formal dining room with new floors and walls, paint, etc. We were very happy with the work they did! They were timely and careful and everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable.

They encourage each other to make the most of your space/s and budget, and because of this, I always felt like I was the one who was really winning! Scott's son, Eric, too, although a young man, impressed me with his budding sense of vision. As a family business, Marin Kitchen Works will continue their legacy of transforming homes in Marin when he takes over running the business after Betty and Scott retire, just like Scott and Betty inherited the business from their father. Scott's wife, Cindy, was also involved, namely in painting the interior of our home - and she is delightful to be around as well. Again, she loves what she does and realizes that color plays such an important part of the living space. It was tangible to her that a loving family is, and would be living here, and she's the type of person who understands how important it is to make one's work 'personal'. Of course, they have amazing and friendly relationships with all their sub-contractor's and I couldn't help but feel like an 'All-Star' team was perfectly hand-picked and assembled to transform our home. Every bit of the work being done was always 100%. There was never any need for me to worry about this. It's just an 'inner knowing' that it's not only going to get done, but it's going to be spectacular. So rather than worry, I just looked forward to completion because I knew it was going to exceed my expectations. Marin Kitchen Works, has a result, has a very, very special working relationship with our home and family. This will pay off dividends for the rest of our lives as we continue to stay in touch as we both do little (or major) updates to our home.

We are very happy with the work done by Marin Kitchen and Baths. They were very helpful in choosing the counters/cabinets and appliances for our new kitchen. They were professional in being on time and in cleaning up at the end of each day. Our new kitchen has gotten rave reviews from our friends and family. Had a total cabinet remake (custom fit). The work was done and completed in a very timely fashion. Quality was exceptional and follow-up was even better. Colors were exactly matched with existing cabinets and trimming. They are very easy to work with as well.

We hired Marin Kitchen Works to reface and update our 30 year old Eichler kitchen. Scott, Betty and the whole team was a pleasure to work with, from the design phase to the installation. Their showroom is well stocked and Betty helped us narrow down the choices and stick to styles that would complement our Eichler interior and our budget. I was able to take home as many samples as I wanted. A photo-realistic visualization of our new kitchen was created, giving us a very clear idea of what the design would look like. Once construction started, the crew arrived on time and cleaned up the at the end of every day. They were all very pleasant and easy to work with. Any problems that came up were addressed quickly. The outside contractors who came in to do the tile, counter tops and lighting were also top-notch. We love our new kitchen!

Over the last 20 years MKW has remodeled our kitchen (including installing a skylight), 2 bathrooms, a half bath, office, installed 2 new windows in our living room & replaced 2 windows in our family room, and built a new room for storage/small office. MKW is easy to work with. Their designs are creative and thoughtful and they will work within your budget. I don't think we have any space left to remodel, but if we do we would absolutely use MKW. They want you to be happy, and we certainly have been.

We did an extensive remodel of our condo including kitchen, baths, new electrical work, some reconstruction work. Betty and her team coordinated the entire project. All the family at Marin Kitchen Works are a joy to work with. We had them resurface our kitchen cabinets, replace the outdated lighting with "can" lights and loved their suggestion to put "puck" lights above the granite counter work space. They also replaced the bathroom tile floors, and master bath shower. Scott is now completing a shoji screen sliding door from the master bathroom to the bedroom. We love Scott's knowledge, experience and attitude.

I was as satisfied as can be with my new kitchen. Betty helped me with my design and helped me pick out tile and my mural. The workers were there early every day and cleaned up at the end of the day. it took the amount of time they said it would. it was a really easeful renovation, with Betty showing me a countertop and cabinets and I loved it all. I can't say enough good things about this company.
