Michael and Maureen were fantastic to work with. They made everything about my client's main bath renovation so easy for me as an interior designer by handling the ordering of the sinks and taking care of the fabrication of the marble countertop and even providing the perfect hardware selection to me..after I described what I had imagined. They really listen and collaborate. They made the process effortless. My clients and I are thrilled with quality and look of the custom cabinetry, along with all the organizational elements like the styling station docking drawer. Can't wait to work with them again.

Can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Michael James Design! I saved a long time for a remodel of my 1970s kitchen, and am glad that my first stop was to see Maureen! From start to finish I was consistently impressed with the professionalism and knowledge she brought to the table. Maureen walked me through everything, gave me suggestions and options that fit within my budget and matched my style, and was friendly and patient with all of my questions. I want to thank the firm for the excellent job and product for our new kitchen. We had lived in this house for over 30 years and it was time to sell. As they say a new kitchen helps sell a house and this one did. We interviewed a couple of different realtors and as they walked into our new kitchen we heard words like "wow", "amazing" and also "nailed it". The house sold to the 3rd couple that looked at it, in just 5 days; before we even got to the weekend showings and the closing is this Friday. Yeah These are the best cabinets. The quality and feel are just great with their soft close draws and doors. With Mike and Maureen's suggestions we added and a few extras like cutlery draws, cabinets that hold trays and on and on. They also stayed within our budget in getting our place ready for sale. This was a complete gut and the firm also provides architectural ideas which really helped us. Mike utilized the space with ideas that we would have never thought to do. We had three windows in the medium size space and we're planning on removing one but Mike showed us but removing two and opening up the space around the remaining window, in the end it actually provided more light to the kitchen. They also knew what was selling today and because of that we went with their ideas of a white quartz counter top and floor color suggestions. Thank you both.

My husband and I are SO incredibly happy with how our new kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room turned out! Michael and Maureen were extremely easy to work with throughout the whole process. We were so impressed by how many options we were presented during the design process and how they were able to maximize each of the spaces. Maureen got a hug after our dream kitchen came to life. A hug from a detailed oriented person says all you want to know about Michael James Design. My wife had this idea of a kitchen but struggled to find a design house that would make it happen. She consulted with well known design shops but remained unconvinced. Some put design together never followed up with us. Some struggled to bring out my wife’s dream kitchen ideas from her head. And then we found Michael James Design. We worked with Maureen and James directly. They interpreted our gestures, read facial expressions to indicate approval or disapproval, asked probing questions, drew and redrew plans, offered various orientations and layouts, They are design whisperer. The end product was a master piece. The installation was mind blowing when we actually saw the kitchen come to life. To seal her approval, my wife gave Maureen a hug. Michael James Design is wonderful to work with. If you are looking to remodel your kitchen, start with them. We highly recommend this team. .

After moving into a dated house, we were very interested in opening up the space and increasing the functionality of our kitchen. We sat down with Michael and presented him with our budget to which he brought us a few different designs to accomplish what we were looking for. Throughout the process he helped us pick out each item from the cabinets, to the countertop, to the appliances, and the filing to help make the vision truly come together. From the beginning of lockdowns to now I still truly enjoy using the kitchen and making the most of it. Thank you very much Mike and Maureen! I was referred to Michael James Design by my parents and some other friends who had used them for kitchen remodels and new home projects. I was building a new home and with all of the decisions and responsibilities that go along with a new home project I wanted to settle with a company that I could trust to give me guidance along the way. Michael James Design went above and beyond with helping us design and purchase our cabinets and counter tops for our house. Michael spent lots of time with us at the start of the project to understand our needs and lifestyle. He explained the different materials and price points, and was always patient, not pushy. Mike and Maureen helped me with a new house I was building. Mike designed the kitchen, pantry, bar area, office and bathrooms. The cabinets are beautiful and functional. The design was very creative and it incorporated all of my ideas. Mike also gently directed me away from some not so goods plans I had. Maureen worked so hard to find granite that went with the design and with my taste. Unlike other decorators she listened to what I like and she didn't push her taste or what is trending currently. The result is more than anything for which I could have hoped. People come and in say, "Wow." I will enjoy this house for many years to come. Mike and Maureen also worked extremely well with the other professionals on the team. They all made building the house (and finishing the project on time in the middle of the COVID crisis) a fun project with absolutely no bumps along the way. I would give this company a ten+ rating if I could!
