Mid Continent Cabinetry

We had three bathrooms and our kitchen done with Mid Continent cabinets. That was a HUGE mistake. We have had to replace hinges, the drawers are falling off the back of the cabinet in the bathroom, and the stain is fading on the kitchen cabinets. The first 3 years this was an infrequently used vacation home, and now our retirement home. When we submitted a request for warranty work, they denied the request and stated that their hardware was altered, which of course it wasn’t. Stay away from this company they have an inferior product and don’t stand behind the workmanship.

I would not recommend these cabinets. I have white wood painted cabinets. Dealing with finish ssues (missing paint not sanded,rough, no shellac finish on sections) and now the replacements doorr and drwers are worse than the ones relaced. The color doesn't match the original doors next to them. It The color discrepancy is very obvious. They were installed in the end of June into July after waiting since August for our dealer to renovate our kitchen. So disappointed in the poor quality of my cabinets. I wish my dealer had not recommended these. I paid a lot for these cabinets. I am going to need the replacements replaced along with the other door in the cabinet so that the colors match unless they can guarantee the defective doors and drawers will match my current color and pray they do these correctly. I shouldn't have to deal with these quality issues for my brand new kitchen.

We ordered cabinets in July. Received numerous promises on delivery and finally in mid-March received, but it was incomplete. There were multiple quality issues and the kitchen designer and distributor were of no assistance. We talked to a regional director who was also no help. We are incredibly disappointed and we not recommend Mid Continent. Stay away from them. I'm sure they were a good organization at one time, but they need an over-haul today.

Received our cabinets right before Christmas after ordering in August. I don’t know who runs their Quality Control Dept. , but they should be sent back to school, or look for another job. Sloppy paint job, cracked drawer…, terrible! I was looking forward to a nice kitchen after looking at our old cabinets for 30 years. Should have looked elsewhere. Now we have to wait for two sections of replacement drawers. That’s 6 drawers … paid all of this money for shoddy workmanship, and now I have to wait——-again. Not right.!!!!!!

We ordered our cabinets for our new build on July 9th. This was BEFORE we even had a foundation in the ground. We were given a 16 week lead time. After 22 weeks, we finally started asking questions. December 6th we were told by MC that our delivery window would be 1/17-2/4. This is nearly double the original lead time. We kept digging and were told this was our delivery window but "still no guarantees can be made, unfortunately." We were more than fair in allowing an additional 6 weeks from the original lead time. We have now cancelled our order and are starting over with a new manufacturer, while our house sits there waiting for cabinets. We are in a temporary living situation and the bad business practices of MC will cost us thousands of dollars. They should not be continuing the take new orders if they cannot fulfill the ones the have. I would urge you to proceed with extreme caution if you are considering using Mid-Continent Cabinetry.

1 star rating because 0 isn’t an option. If you’re looking for a company that has no customer service or the ability to assume any responsibility for issues, MC is for you. Otherwise, take your money anywhere else.

It took us over 8 months to get a full set of cabinets that were not scratched, dented, poorly painted or in some other way damaged. The retail store we ordered was fantastic and ordered us replacements after every delivery but 2/3’s of each delivery was unusable in some way. A rep for the company came to our house and looked at everything that was delivered and called the quality “atrocious”. The rep authorized us to bill the company for any modifications, adjustments, extra time and labor to make things work…when I forwarded the expenses I was advised by a company attorney they would only pay our labor cost if we signed a non disclosure release that would also void our warranty!

Purchased mid continental cabinets for our kitchen remodel. If rating 1-10 I would give these cabinets a 7. Some doors and drawers do not close properly and the pull out drawers seem to stick. However, the cabinets did fit within our budget. The cabinets are okay but probably will not last for long.

We had these cabinets installed 3 months ago and have already come to the conclusion that it was a huge mistake. First they couldn’t get the dishwasher panel correct. The when they finally did, two months after the project was completed, the color didn’t match. The we had a few humid days and now the ALL the two door cabinets won’t close. Even after adjusting them as much as possible they still overlap! And now one of the door panels is separating. I dread thinking about what condition these will be in after the next 3 months. If your contractor/designer is suggesting these crapinets you need to find someone else!

Let me just start by saying this is the 3rd, full order, of Mid-Continent cabinets we have received that are TOTALLY unacceptable. I was assured by quality control manager Dennis Haley that he would personally inspect the cabinets, along with 3 other mangers. This 3rd order is horrific. I was also told that if this order came in bad, like the other shipments, I would get my money back. We are absolutely disgusted with the lack of quality or care this company gives. There is NO WAY these cabinets were inspected. It is a disgrace to American made products. We have been without a kitchen since June 2018.

The cabinets weren't the quality we had hoped for. They delivered damaged cabinets and after 8 months there was separation in the cabinet panels. The issues were eventually fixed though.

Mid-Continent is a great cabinetry company to order from and to work with throughout the whole design process. Also their Newton, Kansas manufacturing location is very well-run and everyone seems happy to be working there and creating beautiful cabinets!
