I went with Prime Design Cabinetry for my kitchen renovation which included an island and several large pantry cabinets in addition to upper and lower cabinets. Joe Bealke was wonderful to work with from the design stage to installation. Firstly, Joe uses high quality wood and also pays attention to its selection. Second, Joe and his team are master carpenters building beautiful cabinets. Third, Joe himself was with the crew at installation and was meticulous about each measurement and placement. Joe is a master craftsman. We did an extensive renovation on a home we bought in Colleyville and every cabinet was torn out and new ones redesigned. It was a huge job. Our very particular designer found Joe when her cabinet maker was not available. From the start we could communicate well with Joe and he meticulously went over all the drawings and came and measured many times as he built the cabinets. The paint job of multiple coats on every cabinet was beautiful and after a year of daily use still look wonderful. He designed custom drawers and shelves in my kitchen that are incredibly useful. We couldn't be more pleased with Joe and Julie and their work. We highly recommend them.

We had a large built-in cabinet unit built by Joe Bealke and his crew, and are ecstatic about the final product. We are amazed by the amount of thought and detail that Joe and his team put into our redesigned home office. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Joe completed a home office remodel for my in June of 2021. It's been a year in my new space and while this review may seem late, I think it illustrates the long term value working with Joe provides. I didn't exactly have a solid plan going into this project, I just knew I wanted something better and I had a tight timeline. Joe spent time with mean that I can say probably no other builder would have. He provided ideas and guidance that made this project exceed my expectation. His team was friendly, and thoughtful. Their attention to detail under Joe's guidance was impressive to watch. The quality speaks for itself. Even after a year, I'm still amazed and excited every time I walk into the space. The special features they worked to make a reality made a huge difference in the utility and value of my space. If you have a project and you aren't sure what to do or where to start don't hesitate to begin with Joe!

We are absolutely in love with our new white shaker style kitchen cabinetry designed and built by Joe and his team! We started the design process in April when Joe visited our home and made recommendations about new cabinetry. Our kitchen was 1949 original knotty pine with a sloped ceiling and beams. We planned to leave the ceiling in place, and I was concerned that new cabinetry might look out of place with the original stained ceiling. My worries were unnecessary because Joe found creative ways to tie in the old with the new in a seamless design that looks like it’s always been there. Part of the original soffit/ceiling had to be rebuilt to fit in with the new cabinetry and crown trim. Joe had the stain color-matched so that the new soffit/ceiling looks amazingly like the original. Our new cabinetry is absolutely beautiful! Our kitchen is a masterpiece!! Joe was patient with us as we did some of the prep-work ourselves as DIY’s and took the time to explain how the other trades fit into the process. He answered our questions and worked with us to ensure a smooth experience from beginning to end. At the end of the workday our kitchen was vacuumed, wiped down, and left completely clean. They even swept the front porch. The attention to detail, the communication, the exchange of ideas, and most importantly, the craftsmanship is of the highest standard. Joe was the consummate professional every step of the process of my kitchen remodel. Joe has been at the job site from demolition to the end. My 1985 cabinetry was replaced with beautiful custom Oak wood cabinets. Joe is precise in his work and takes extreme care. He is absolutely an artist. He is as accurate in his work as he is with his advice. He provides quality craftsmanship and a quality product. I highly recommend prime design and in the future would not consider using anyone else. In my experience the homeowner has a good idea of what is needed in a project, but for those tiny details that the layman might not be familiar with, Joe's recommendations have been impeccable. I did make some changes to what was originally discussed and Joe was always flexible with ALL my requests. Joe's has excellent skilled staff working for him. Every team member showed the same care and craftsmanship. The work was done timely and well planned. If I could add another star to the review, I would. His cabinets are a work of art.

Couldn’t recommend Joe and his team more. He installed an office bookcase file cabinet unit for us. A desk unit in the kitchen and gave us an overall kitchen upgrade with doors and drawers. Top notch quality, very detail oriented and a problem solver. Our house is a 1930s and nothing is plumb and square and he made it work. Also came up with creative solutions mid-way thru the project and was fair on the extra pricing. Honest team, we were out of town at one point and gave him the keys to start the install. Very neat and tidy workspace, pleasure to deal with.

We are in love with the work Joe and his company did for us. We had custom bookcase and cabinets installed in our 1927 home, and they feel as if they’ve always been there. I can’t say enough about Joe and the quality of his work. Joe built us custom bookshelves and did a truly incredible job. We would and will recommend him to everyone we can going forward. He was professional and accommodating, and he perfectly matched the vision I cast for the project. The shelves are the highest quality -- sturdy and durable -- and yet also very beautiful. He's a true craftsman. In both product and customer care, he went WAY above and beyond, and we could not be more thrilled or thankful to have found and worked with him. I needed a cabinet to add some counter and storage space to my bathroom and to add some built-ins for my study. I'm glad I found Joe. Joe had really professional design drawings and designed the cabinets to maximize the space in the drawers. The quality of his work is excellent with full extension slides plus soft close doors and drawers. Joe is great at communication and estimating a timeline. After 3 quotes from other closet “specialists”... Joe was able to execute what I envisioned at an incredibly reasonable cost! Anything custom will be worth the cost and effort, but as a customer, you want to feel like the contractor isn’t overcharging. My shoes shelves are beautiful and perfectly made, with a fast turnaround time! I will use JB again soon for a custom divider wall in the bathroom, they have my loyalty.

We had Joe and his crew construct some beautiful built-ins for us and the entire experience was wonderful. Joe was very collaborative during the design process, made some suggestions that were perfect. And his delight in the beauty of hand-crafted wood quite contagious. After deciding on some quarter-sawn white Oak for our project, he invited me to his shop to check out the process. They all do beautiful work, wonderful joinery, and every detail is so professional. We were having very tall bookcases built, around 10 feet, and wanted a built in ladder. Joe surveyed what was available and thought nothing would meet the standards of the project, so built his own ladder system and integrated hardware to encompass the entire 15 feet of cases. The ladder in and of itself is beautiful. Installation days went great, the crew are all artisans in their own right, and everything installed perfectly, with great care, and looks like it belongs and has been there for years. On top of it all, Joe is a very friendly guy and great to talk to. I highly recommend Joe for any cabinetry and wood project that you might have

I met Joe by phone, after searching DFW area for a skilled and quality craftsman to work with on project that I got myself into and had to come up with a great solution. He delivered, after two meetings Joe had designed and come up with a solution to incorporate my whiteboard into a high end frame to go around a very high end conference table. Joe gave me confidence that I could deliver the project and deliver it on time. The quality was superb, the edge detailing that he added complimented the conference table. After 35 years in our 1951 home, we began the process of replacing the original kitchen along with some updates of our dining and living rooms. I needed a cabinet built with special requirements for a media niche next to our fireplace - a relatively small project. I initially hesitated to call JB Woodwork because of the size of the project. But to my delight, Joe was very responsive. He listened to my requirements, asked questions regarding those requirements, and then designed, built and installed the cabinet..meeting all my needs and requirements..in less than two week! I could not be happier with the outcome! His work exudes quality and craftsmanship to the smallest detail! I will not hesitate to contact him for my next project!

Our relationship with Joe goes back several years when our decorator suggested he build a media center for a remodel, the product was beautiful and very well constructed. His installation ensured it blended perfectly with existing furniture. Subsequently, we asked him to design and construct chimney wrap with shelving, banquet and large sliding barn door - they became to focal of a major remodel for my daughter's family. Recently he came to my rescue when the contractor for my workshop dropped the ball on out swing carriage doors. The only other source I could find was more than 3 month lead time after the rest of the building was complete. With Joe Bealke at jbwoodwork, I have found a trustworthy and skilled carpenter who does fabulous work and helped me create the custom design I was looking for. I hired Joe to create built in bookcases with cabinets. He patiently worked with us in the design phase, drawing schematics that mirrored our inspiration picture while adjusting for modifications we requested. Careful attention was placed to details, such as designing the unit to fit within our space, color matching, creating shelving units strong enough to house our large book collection. Most of the work was completed off site in his workshop, so installation took a short half day and only a few paint touchups. Joe is both meticulous and wonderful to work with.

I met with Joe in late June to talk about tearing out some existing cabinets in the laundry room of the home we were getting ready to move into. He drew up a plan and sent it to me very quickly. I met again with him on July 3rd to go over some changes. He asked me when we were moving and I told him July 7th. He said if I start today I can have them in for you before you move in. Now, mind you that the next day was the 4th of July and no one works on the 4th unless you are Joe Bealke! The movers arrived on the 7th and the cabinets were in. They are beautiful and very high quality. I love them. My experience with Joe is way above 5 stars. He totally got what I wanted including the opening in the cabinet door so our cat can get to her litter box. I would highly recommend Joe.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Joe is truly a master at his craft and you can tell he loves his day job! We hired Joe to add a pantry and command center onto our existing (relatively recently renovated) kitchen cabinetry. I was pretty specific about what I wanted and he made my vision come to life with what seemed like just a few simple measurements and pictures. He had great design suggestions to add to my vision and the end result was amazing. From an exact match on the cabinet design to an exact match on paint color and caulk, the addition doesn't look like an after thought at all. The pieces look like they belong there and were installed with all the other cabinetry. Joe and his crew completed the job in 1 week and installed the pieces in half a day. I just wish I had found Joe and his team earlier so I could have used his talent on other projects in the house. Thank you, thank you Joe! I wanted some built in bookshelves in my living area that would also hold my television. I had a vision for what I wanted, but had no idea how to draw it out. I interviewed several carpenters, but none of them could design - they could only build what I designed. Joe came to my house, looked at the location, and sat and listened to what I had to say when I tried to describe it. He asked lots of questions and looked at all the pictures I had cut from magazines. He returned with a design plan that was far better than I could have imagined. It was proportionally correct and met all my needs. He worked on site and each day when I came home from work, the project took shape. I could not have been more happy with the design and the actual execution! The work was beautiful and elicited many, many comments from my friends and relatives. I HIGHLY recommend both the man and the work.

I hired Joe Bealke of JB Woodworking to remodel my kitchen. He worked with me on choosing the right wood & stain color and layout. After doing measurements and taking pictures, he built all cabinets in his workshop. As the install progressed I was amazed at how each cabinet fit so perfectly. I now have beautiful cherrywood cabinets with crown molding. The wood surround for refrigerator has wonderful detail. Another favorite feature is a custom built wainscot on a half wall. The dishwasher, microwave and countertop installations all went seamlessly due to his accuracy. Joe also installed travertine tiles on the diagonal for the backsplash and built-in a spot for TV. The other professionals who worked with us (plumber, electrician and window coverings) all commented on the fine workmanship. I get so many compliments on the details and precise fit of his work. I would recommend JB Woodworking for any type of woodworking project, including tables.
